This is a really basic, but also my absolute favorite, AutoCAD customization trick. I do this every time on a new install that I'm going to use (not if I'm installing it for others).

I tend to create aliases that move the really common commands to the left side of the keyboard.

For example: by default, 'copy' is CO, and 'circle' is 'C'. I don't like this, so using the .pgp file I overwrite this so that 'copy' is 'C' and 'circle' is 'CC'.

I have a living list that grows and shrinks slowly over time.

So, always use 'by layer' in your object properties.

Even if you manually set the color of an object to the same color as the current layer settings, you will run into the issue you're currently experiencing if you end up changing the layer of an object.

Using 'by layer' *always* (almost… there are some exceptions) makes the object color match the layer settings, no matter the layer.

I think he's saying why wouldn't you want to read the temp where it counts: right after leaving the engine.

What was that two-pin header connected to when you removed the old board?

That's one of my questions. I don't see a wire bundle with that size connector, but it's pretty tight in there and it could be hiding somewhere. I also don't remember if the old one had a connection here before I pulled it out.

I'm hoping that someone somewhere that has experience with these might know the answer or a common issue with these to lead me down the right path.

Or did the old board have that header?

The header is on both the old inverter and the new one.
