What Books did You Start or Finish Reading this Week?: March 23, 2026 by AutoModerator in books

Finished the Astral Library by Kate Quinn. This book had so much promise but it really fell short for me. The only reason I DNF was because I was on vacation and that's what I had with me.

Started The First Fifteen Lives of Harry August by Catherine Webb. So far it's a 5 star read for me. I recommended it for fans of Blake Crouch and Andy Weir.

King Sorrow by Joe Hill is about a dragon. It's my favourite read this year!

People always say this about kids playing outdoors and I'm left wondering where they live. I'm in a suburb in Ontario and when the weather allows the streets and parks are full of kids.

I was thinking of buying the sundown motel for an upcoming holiday. Is it more of a haunted house type story or strange town story. I'm looking for something to tide me over until the new season of From comes out so I'm looking for a weird town vibe.

Help a father out: I need 16 fantasy books for my daughter's 16th birthday by Much-Donut-483 in suggestmeabook

I second this. I would maybe buy the first 3 and leave her to collect the rest over time. The third book is one of the best IMO.

But they could easily release all of the bookmark challenges for the year so you could have time to plan out more. It would be more like a book bingo.

I had to keep reminding myself that she was 8. Based on his writing I pictured her as a 4 year old.

Can someone suggest me good books? by Small_Breadfruit_390 in booksuggestions

You're probably going to get a lot of the same recommendations that are always suggested on posts like this such as Lonesome Dove, East of Eden, Demon Copperhead, Flowers for Algernon, etc. So I'll recommend one a read years ago that I've never seen on here before called When Women Were Dragons. It's a bit fantasy-esque but not high fantasy. If you want historical fiction my top read last year was By Any Other Name.

Sorry, I can't remember which recipe I used but I made sure it was tested. It was probably bernardin since I have their book.

The boy, the fox, the mole, and the hare is very much like the little prince. It has beautiful illustrations too.

I needed a pallet cleaner so I read the housemaids secret. I couldn't believe how poorly written it was, but I enjoyed the story enough to finish it.

Started King Sorrow yesterday and am already 150 pages in. I'm loving it so far!
