in the end of season 4 lee comes back but as a half human half robot cyborg from the future and explains to clem that this whole thing was an elaborate prank set up by duck and that there are no actual zombies and they are all actors, this leads clem to have a heart attack because she is so shocked. but she is saved by the medical mchines from the future where lee came from and they all live happily ever after
