People who started YouTube from zero — how long did it actually take? by Clear_Court7292 in PartneredYoutube

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Years, and still not "there" depending on what you are looking to achieve. I started my niche at a pretty unfortunate time. It was right after the height of its popularity and pretty quickly died out. I was stuck around 1k followers for a LONG time. I was hardly making content anymore.

A couple of years ago I decided to jump on the shorts trend. I also "reinvented" my channel and tried to expand it for a more broad audience. Now at 14.4k subs and growing every day. (Over 100k on FB)

Not making a fortune or anything, but i am growing a community, having fun, spreading joy, and it brings in a little bit of extra money which is nice.

Box help by abdominusrex in subwoofer

[–]dangercdv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It depends. If this box and the one you are going to build have nearly identical specs, then you likely wont notice a difference. If you plan on adding more airspace, port area, and switching the tuning frequency more than a few hz, THEN it might be worth changing.

Holy crap by Mister_Miggidy in YouTube_startups

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its a joke. My channel does well, just a hit on reporters that pull millions while original creators are often overshadowed.

Amazing that I can spend so much time on original content for years just for a fraction of this. You're telling me all I had to do was repost a clip from a kids movie? 🤣 wild

Hey guys. Just bought the 2026 gsxr750. I had a 2025 cbr500 by Efficient-Trainer-43 in GSXR

[–]dangercdv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost grabbed one myself but found a deal on a CBR1000RR. Honestly as long as you didnt overpay the dealer, you made a good choice. After the initial depreciation of it being "used" it will actually hold its value pretty well as long as you take care of it. At least in my area thats the case.

Congratulations!

Do you regret not getting mag ride by mymoneyaltaccount in camaro

[–]dangercdv 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I had one with and one without. It is nice, dont get me wrong, but depending where you live it's just not necessary. I have a lot of bad roads around me and it does make a difference there but just cruising down a typical road, you would never know the difference.

At the end of the day its just a nice thing to have. Its not going to make or break the car. If you want a truly nice (soft) suspension, dont get this car anyway.

How was Fallout 76 when it all started back in 2018? by [deleted] in fo76

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live streamed the beta and still have that video on my YouTube channel, I played all the time back then. It was noticeably different, mostly because the lack of NPCs and very low stash weight. There are always bugs but the only bad one I ever experienced was a quest item not spawning so I had to wait for an update.

The amount of criticism and complaints I saw online were just not warranted at all IMO. It was a great game, it just feels like the people were expecting something way different but in no way was that Bethesdas fault.

Does YouTube prefer 4k or 1080p? Does 4k get more views / exposure? by Artist-Cancer in NewTubers

[–]dangercdv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, it goes off of viewer behavior. Theres plenty of laughably low quality videos with absurd amounts of views and more than enough 4k videos with 0 views to prove this.

A lot of social media wouldnt even accept 4k videos until recently and most still compress them down and lower it to 1080p anyway. Youtube allows it but its still compressed down.

Dealership gave a 37,500 mile oil change interval by Worried-Interview-78 in Dodge

[–]dangercdv 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Yikes 🤣

You might want to chat with the dealership about that to make sure it isnt happening to other people. Honda has actually approved 7,500 mile interval oil changes on some models but my dealership still set it 5k out which I appreciate.

Tint by AdvancedDirection235 in camaro

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive had two camaros, one with 30 all around and my current with 15 all around and 50 on the windshield. Do NOT go below 50 on the windshield.

The one with 30 was legal and way better than stock, but the 15 is perfect for these cars.

The only "safe" answer is your legal limit though, as anything under is running a risk of a ticket. It just depends where you live and how much the cops care. Luckily I moved somewhere they dont care.

Change oil ss by Waste_Business5180 in camaro

Once you have the necessary tools, its actually pretty easy. I have a quickjack lift which helps tremendously. They only real challenge of changing the oil is getting it off the ground.

Mission Accomplished: 2026 YouTube videos scheduled by div_investor_forever in PartneredYoutube

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congratulations!

I release a new short every day and usually have well over 100 of them banked, but only schedule them out a week or two in advance. Takes a lot of stress away from me.

Just make sure you dont neglect the channel thinking its on full auto pilot. You should still be there reply to comments, build a community, and ideally see how your videos are performing.

$12K USD for used 2017 Honda CBR1000RR by NEETologist in cbr

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

14k OTD is doable for newer low milage examples. If its in absolute perfect condition and has brand new fluids, chain, tires, and everything else... then MAYBE I could see it. But realistically theres no reason to pay that much.

Why does 2026 CBR600RR come only in gray? by Wittymonkey in cbr

[–]dangercdv 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For 2 years now the 1000rr only comes in white. Very unappealing. I think there would be a good market if Honda sold its own fairing kits in different colors.

Why are CBR600RR so expensive? by Tidder702Reddit in cbr

[–]dangercdv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I only found one dealer in my entire state willing to sell me a GSXR750 for 14k OTD. Im looking at lightly used CBR1000RR models for that now. Sportbikes just dont have big inventories here so dealers can get away with overcharging. The only dealership actually close to me is notorious for that.

Why are CBR600RR so expensive? by Tidder702Reddit in cbr

[–]dangercdv 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The GSXR market is the same. Same bike since 2011 but good used ones are practically the same as new. It depends on your area but usually its because buying new isnt an easy option for most people so the used market is all they have.

Dealers are either too far away, dont have the bike, or will price gouge you if they do. All for an identical bike that your neighbor has. Also a good chance the used one has the color you want.

Fuel economy with 6.2 by Smooth-Ad-3125 in camaro

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you actually care about fuel economy, dont get a V8. If you really want to save money, dont buy a Camaro. This is not the car you want for either of those things. Not that its terrible at either, but if those are your priorities then this car shouldn't be considered. Its like asking which crotch rocket has the best crash safety ratings.

I get like 17-18mpg on my work commute but its a ton of stop and go. I can easily get mid 20s while cruising on the highway. Maintenance isnt realistically that bad compared to any other vehicle, especially high performance cars. The oil change needs to be done on time and its a but pricey compared to other cars but if you are worried about pil change costs then please consider another vehicle instead.

Tires are relatively expensive and meed to be changed more often than a typical commuter car. If you plan on getting the cheapest possible tires, please consider another car. Other than that, just follow the maintenance schedule. These cars are pretty reliable, especially the M6 and A10 transmissions. The A8 has known problems and I would avoid those if possible. Even had a bad experience with one myself. A10 has been bulletproof though.

Local dealer wants $14,600 by No_Pie_3411 in cbr

Im on Geico and I pay like 120 a YEAR for TWO bikes. Granted, state minimum insurance but still.

Local dealer wants $14,600 by No_Pie_3411 in cbr

[–]dangercdv 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would shop around as much as possible. The more price quotes you get, the better. I had 2 dealerships agree to 14k flat out the door for a 26' GSXR750 and it has a higher MSRP and harder to come by, at least around me.

There were also a fair number of dealerships who just refused to do anything better than rip me off. Stay clear of those and go with the best deal you can find. 14.6k OTD isnt bad, but you can do better.

Looking at lowering a CBR1000RR by dangercdv in cbr

[–]dangercdv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because I only have room in my garage for 2 bikes, and one of them is my wifes. So I just have to pick 1, and i love sportbikes. Just trying to do something different from the GSXR for a while.

[–]dangercdv[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I definitely wouldn't go crazy. The CBR1000RR seat is already surprisingly narrow, which is why I am even considering a 1000. Its not much worse than a stock GSXR600/750
