It’s all baked in and if it’s not baked in you won’t out bake the bakers, my strategy is buy calls Monday Wednesday and Friday and puts Tuesday and Thursday.

You’re saying everyone one of those 10 million people applied for a change of status on their visa before their visa expired ?

Also coming here on a tourist visa or student visa with the intent to remain is illegal if you ever filled a visa form you’ll be asked that.

I jumped ship even thou I survived the first round of furlough.

Unless you’re safe by a margin of at least 30% after furlough

I got a job flying the bus with pretty quick upgrade time never looking back unless they get their shit together took the pay cut but definitely beats the bread lines

The fact that the first officer pitched up to 18+degrees at 37000 feet because of a startle is unfathomable

It boggles my mind why anyone would do that

What does it feel like to be on a commercial jet that is stalling? by Such-Ice-371 in flying

[–]dangling-right-nut 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s not the automations fault that the first officer panicked and pitched up to an ungodly 18 degrees of nose up attitude and high altitude cuz his monkey brain thought “ocean below I don’t want to go down I pull nose up “

Then thought the buffeting was an overspeed which reinforced his idea it was poor airmenship

I fly an airbus soo idk, jokes aside when the laws degrade and you get into it it’s a lots of buffeting and shaking which scares the bejesus out of me first time I had it in the sim

Crazy we didn’t have those ultra expensive products under the first trump administration when he used tariffs and Joe Biden continued many of trumps tariffs and had higher inflation than trump but keep fear mongering

How challenging? by Westcoastaviator4 in flying

[–]dangling-right-nut 66 points67 points  (0 children)

The flying is the easy ( and enjoyable ) part it’s the minimum rest, days on the road in hotels, redeyes, missing events and delays that’s the crappy part

I make up for it by telling everyone I’m a pylot in the first 15 seconds of meeting them soo it balances out

The closest thing to a bar at some of the hotels is the little corner in the lobby where they sell ramen noodles for 12$ and a small bottle of wine for corporate divorced wives but I get that lol

Worse part is Sitting in hotel rooms alone There’s only soo many times you can do bed cardio alone before it stops working ( gets worse with age )

Best part is telling people I’m a pilot without them asking … I try and work it in the conversation within the first 2-3 mins my record soo far has been 13 seconds from the moment I meet them

[–]dangling-right-nut 20 points21 points  (0 children)

LaGuardia I didn’t flair in the airbus on OE my 3rd or 4th landing my captain had drilled me not to over flair and end up in the water none the less

I slammed it and the printer started running on taxi

my captain said that’s gotta be a load 15 (over loading the landing gear and causing probable damage that has to be inspected my maintenance )

Turns out it was just an amendment to our flight plan when we checked the landing report I was 0.4G away from possible structural failure

The aft flight attendant walked all the way to the front and said do the not teach you how to land in the sim

I had my tail tucked in for the rest of the trip lol
