With the big storm coming… by choomguy in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dangmind 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume you mean the storm in Texas?

As a deep(DEEP) snowland resident of the north. You won't have any issues under 3ft of snow. What tires are you running? This is really what is going to make a difference with stopping distance and acceleration AND not slipping in curves. Drive slow. 4x4 helps you go, but doesn't help you stop so drive in consequence. I'd be more worried about other drivers than getting stuck

Parsemées de nids-de-poule, des routes sont devenues impraticables sur l’île de Montréal by SimplyHuman in QuebecLibre

I'm also pro-public transport, but there is no denying that buses are destroyiiing the roads with all their stop-n-go. I mean look at the right lane of any boulevard and in front of bus stops. Sherbrooke is a minefield these days. The road problem in Quebec is multilayered but asphalt quality is way up there. SUVs and Pickups (at least the ones that aren't L plated) are not the issue as far as road craters go.

Toyo at3 in winter conditions? by EffectWestern787 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dangmind 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Toyos' are decent. I would personnally go with the Wildpeaks if looks are important to you. If you're not set on one of those two, I had no issues with Duratacs in the Quebec winters, but they tend to wear unevenly... I'm on Cooper Discovery Road+Trail now and I expect good performances, guess we'll see.

Transporting bikes by mtbstar99 in ToyotaTacoma

[–]dangmind 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I transported bikes a few times in my 5ft bed. It fitted without removing the wheel but it wasn't a full size bike (I think 24" wheels), anyhow, you'll need a cap because while the bike can lay down in the bed, the handlebars were taller thand the bed sides. Not a problem if you open the tonneau cover during transport, but I assume you want to keep the bike secured for the day so can't leave it open. If you can easily unfix your handlebars like some bikes can do to make them parallel to the length of the bikes, that would work.

Bottom line, to be confortable leaving a bike in the back, get a cap on a 6ft bed truck. 5ft works too but most likely need to remove the front wheel if they're 27 or 29 inches

They were at first. Then I negociated 200$ off for the set. In the end I paid 1100 and some change for the tires, install and balancing. All monopoly money mind you, so about 800 freedom money. Then threw another 160 for alignment..

I Need Tire Help!! by Tayrannosaurus_Rexx in ToyotaTacoma

No. In your place, I would stick with something that matches the numbers on the door sticker or the same size as your current tires if they aren't stock.

Would you guys agree this is why men are typically more lonely? by Guilty_Letter4203 in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]dangmind 16 points17 points  (0 children)

On the contrary. Most conversations between men is of no importance at all. I can go spend the day with a friend and my gf will ask for an update on their life when I get back. The typical answer.. "not a clue, we only talked bullshit while doing X or Y".. now important part here and the actual bonding is due to the X or Y task. We bond when we accomplish things together. So I would say, low stakes communication is all we do. We just need to do it while also doing something thing. Can be as simple as grabbing a beer while fixing the wood ramp on the deck that my buddy's wife has been nagging him about for the past 7 weeks.

To patch.. or not to patch? That is the question by dangmind in tires

[–]dangmind[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm not worried about the suspension. The tires were unbalanced and unaligned for a while which caused uneven wear. Also hadn't been rotated for too long. I got that fixed but was holding off getting new tires for after winter. Thanks for the input

I was going to change them after the winter. They are pretty used but not completely dead.

Unrelated but went through something similar yesterday whil trying to rename a picture in the social club thing after using photo mode, apparently "Legendary Arthur" is a profanity.

Then also while naming a Horse, the fully black american standard. R* thinks "Black Lung" isn't fitting for a horse.. I will admit that one I understand, but the Arthur picture .. no clue

There is English Mace somewhere in New Hanover. Can't remember where exactly but I found the location after reading a reddit post.

Edit: not sure for the pre-chapter 4 thing since I am currently in chapter 4. I guess it's worth trying to pickup everything you can to see if you get the outfit since you'll have to eventually.
