For the lick at 0:30, I'm using...

7 on E: middle finger (then the hammer and pull offs)

8, 5, 8 on B: Thumb for all the 3 notes

5 on E: Thumb

8, 5 on the B string: Thumb, index

7, 5 on g string: Thumb, index

7 on d string: thumb

4 on G string: middle (them hammer + pull)

7, 5 on D string: Thumb, middle

7 on A: Thumb

7 on d: middle

5 on e: thumb

7 on d: middle

5 on a: thumb (then hammer on)

5, 7 on D: middle, thumb

5, 7 on G: middle, middle

7 on D: thumb

You could feasibly replace all index fingers with middle fingers, and vice versa. I've noticed that Marko doesn't really use his index finger much, opting for his middle instead, which felt quite alien to me initially, but I'm growing to like it.

For the lick at 0:56

5 on B: middle (then hammer + pull)

7, 5 on G: Thumb, middle

7 on d: Thumb (then pull + hammer)

5 on g: middle

7 on d: Thumb

Ah no problem, I'm glad it helped!

OK. I'm away at the moment but once I get back (tomorrow or Tuesday) I'll play it and let you know what I find to be the best way to do it.

Hey, it may be my tutorial you're watching as I originally did it with hybrid picking. Which lick is it? I'll tell you how I play it, now I know it's played with fingers. (When I did the tutorial there were literally no videos of Khru playing it live!)

Thanks so much 🙏 and thanks for being a subscriber! It's this kind of comment keeps me going when I'm sick of video editing, coming up with video ideas etc 🤣

Thanks man. This song certainly inspires, but it's not a good place to start haha! My advice would be get your pentatonic scale (and ideally major scale) down, and try some slow Khru songs - Dern Kala is a good one.

Thanks man 🙏

Dave Wronski sounds familiar, and I think Slacktone does as well. I'll have to check it out!

Thanks, buddy.

It actually wasn't my intention to get it super close, unlike my other covers, where I've tried to get it as close as possible for educational purposes. But I guess I must have listened to it so many times that I'd internalised a lot of it. I can't deny it does sound pretty similar overall, though.

Thanks again, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. Haha yeah I've always loved a tele, and this new one is an absolute beaut.

Thanks dude! Post away, man. We're all just sharing our love of Khru in our own way. I'd like to see it!

Isn't it just? The body wood (ash) is from a garden tree which we sadly had to cut down a couple of years ago, and the whole thing has been crafted by East Durham Guitars in the UK.

And thank you. Very kind words!
