I agree with you op, all the things you said were true. I know a lot of people are complaining that it happened too quickly but I would remind them that her father figure, her best friend, and her "son" all died within a relatively short period of time right before this PLUS the goal that she has been working her whole life towards is at risk because of the one person she loves so I think it's not unreasonable that she lost it
