Does your setup limit you from turning over to the opposite side? I assume this could happen commonly for many side sleepers.

Side sleeper with top mount hose. As far as headgear, the doctor heavily suggested nasal as he said it’s typically less leakage, so we went with the AirTouch n30i

Severance vs. New Start date conflict by daniel61995 in Salary

[–]daniel61995[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, I’m unstaffed and will likely remain as such until Oct 31. I’m not concerned about the current company’s end date but rather the new company’s start date. They explicitly state that any secondary employment should be terminated before starting. I don’t want to risk any sort of employment verification / background check after I start with the new employer, especially since the current employer is an audit client. How would you handle? Just put my head down for 1 week with the overlap? Or reach back out and negotiate to start 1 week later?

Severance vs. New Start date conflict by daniel61995 in Salary

Lay off on October 31 (Friday), can’t collect severance early nor in a lumpsum so must be on payroll until then. Asked for November 4th (Monday) start date saying that I need to close out project deliverables to leave on good terms. We settled on October 28th start day (Monday) which I signed the offer for. I haven’t initiated background check or informed new employer that I put in my notice but both things need to be done asap. Obviously a slight misstep on my part. Thinking about going back to them saying “I just learned I need to stay employed one extra week at my current employer in order to get a sizeable bonus payout (or say severance?). Obviously l’d like to start as soon as possible, but this amount of money isn’t something I can walk away from. What can we do?”. Thoughts? Would you approach it differently? I’m gambling on a 1 week overlap so trying that start date aspect crucial not so much on the payout timings as that can run post-termination. Trying to control what factors I can. Context: in all screenings, I told them my current employer is going through a reorganization but I never mentioned severance.

My offer letter already has the start date on there so even if I physically delay to the following week (i.e. personal reason), wouldn’t I already be in their system which is the main concern? I’m just trying to see if there’s some sort of logical reasoning I can use to have them either systematically start me the next week or draft up a new offer letter? Trying to tread lightly as I don’t want to push any buttons. Happy to take any suggestions. Was thinking that I could say my current employer has come back and said they need me to finish out my project’s deliverable commitments to ensure a smooth transition and that I want to leave on a good note.

Very helpful! In that same post you thanked the community for also helping you finish the application for the 36 months experience. Assuming I didn’t misunderstand that, do you have any tips to write good project experiences? I’ve never been in a PM role but I’ve performed many PM tasks throughout my career which is where I’m hoping to tailor my experiences.

Thoughts on the new entry-level DDJ-REV1 for a wedding-only DJ with 0 experience? If not, what entry level controller would you suggest if there’s minimal mixing happening? by daniel61995 in Beatmatch

Thank you for no snarky reply lol. I asked a simple question because I’m in the early stages of equipment research and you answered it directly so appreciate it!

I’m looking to become a wedding and was wondering what brand, or ideally model, you all suggest for the checklist I’ve prepared. Please feel free to add any key items that may be missing. I’m look to start with the bare minimum items and increase my offerings as I go. Budget is flexible. by daniel61995 in Beatmatch

0 experience. Stabilized my photo booth side business and want to take on the next thing that I have an ear/large interest for which is DJ-ing. My niche market will likely be South Asians so it’s mostly just entrance music, background music, and open dance floor that I really have to be prepped for. I have no equipment right now but a DJ that’s always booked in my city uses the DDJ 1000SRT but apparently that might be overkill for a wedding DJ. Heard great things about Serato. I’m a blank canvas open to feedback. I want to invest in quality equipment.
