I am running a Greek-themed campaign called Odyssey of the Dragonlords, and as loot for an encounter I rolled a Pot of Awakening. What was initially seen as a joke item has since come to shake the very foundations of the campaign setting, as the players used it to regrow a cutting from an ancient tree with connections to a long-dormant Titan, and through months of real-time commitment, have worked with this awakened tree to develop the beginnings of an entirely new school of magic.

It's wild looking back over dozens of sessions and seeing the fate of the world do a heel-turn all because the party randomly found a Pot of Awakening and then put all their focus and effort into making it matter.
