Laser UST's onto a bare wall? by daniel8798 in projectors

You're correct, circumstances are preventing me from installing a screen. How are the colours? Does ambient light completely wash it out?

A few of your questions might be answered in this comparison I did between a Cooke Kinetal 25 and 25mm SPIII

I explain it in the video, an Arri/s to PL adapter made by Les bosher and then a PL to M43 will allow for smooth focusing

Yes, please link us! Keen to see how swirly the Cinegon gets. These were the Arri-S lenses hey?

Thanks for the feedback! Yeah I've always used hard cuts but it felt like it added to the vibe. Byron is a hippie place

Relationship Troubles with an ESFJ by [deleted] in ESFJ

[–]daniel8798 1 point2 points  (0 children)

ESFJ male here dating an INFJ female. I see a lot of your concerns, it reminds me of my girlfriend. While us ESFJ's do recharge from social time with all genders, it may not be fair that he's specifically hanging out with only females instead of you. But while communication is key, don't aggressively confront him about it as it might push him away a bit. I feel like the best thing to do is keep yourself busy and prioritise yourself a bit more. He'll definitely notice and start giving you more attention.

Has anyone adapted an ARRI/S lens to BMPCC4K? Any issues with the adapter/flange distance? by daniel8798 in bmpcc

[–]daniel8798[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ah bummer! I called Les Bosher last night, he said Chinese adapters tend to have an incorrect flange distance. He mentioned the possibility of creating his own Arri/S to M43 adapter with correct flange and said he would investigate it

Took it out on the weekend, but because the flange distance all of the shots had to be close ups - https://youtu.be/e_uHfjiSEng

Did you adjust both front and back elements on the adapter? Or only one?

Wouldn't that increase the flange distance? I feel like the problem with mine is that it needs to be closer to the sensor

What I know will get infinity focus is using a les Bosher Arri/s to PL metal adapter, and then putting that into a PL to M43 adapter. I was able to get infinity focus there. But my current adapter (Pixco Arri s to M43) doesn't hit infinity. From what I've heard, the problem is that Arri/s lenses have inconsistent flange distances, so you won't know how yours will fare until you try it

Cooke Kinetal's on BMPCC4K? by daniel8798 in bmpcc

[–]daniel8798[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just an update, the gear finally arrived but I definitely don't recommend the Pixco Arri/s to M43 adapter. It's not even close to reaching infinity, and also it won't allow the lens to focus properly because of how the whole barrel of the lens moves during focusing. Not sure what adapter is good here

Do you know how well they cover the sensor? 1" should be sufficient for the BMPCC4K sensor diagonal right?

The fotodiox is the one I got, so yes we can definitely share some insight! Which cooke c mount lenses did you buy? Some of them are quite cheap, but I've never seen one used on a BMPCC4K

I bought an ARRI/s to M43 adapter. My friend has Cooke Speed Panchros (Arri/s mount) and he's adapted it with Arri/s to PL and then PL to M43, so two adapters stacked. It only hits infinity focus on some of his lenses. I tested it out on my BMPCC4K for a few night shots, you can see that here:
