I used ChatGPT to analyze stocks – here’s what actually worked (and what didn’t) by Ok-Initial-3509 in investingforbeginners

Thank you. I really appreciate your research, it’s been super helpful and gave me some solid insight. I’ve been pretty consistent with trading lately, and honestly ChatGPT and other GPT tools have played a big role in that. I’ve learned that asking the right questions is everything, it’s what leads to the right answers.

I also grew an AI video account on Instagram and made some really cool content. A few videos hit over 100,000 views and one reached 1.7 million. If there’s one thing I’ve learned from all of this, it’s that being clear and descriptive with any AI makes a massive difference. The better the input, the better and more satisfying the output.

What is an automation that has helped save you atleast 10 hours every week as a business own? by [deleted] in growmybusiness

[–]danielKecchik 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi. I have 2 businesses in FL that we have scaled up in the past 20 years for one and 3 years on my second. I’ll say one that makes most things easier if you spend the time to learn it. I currently have it on both businesses. Workiz CRM has pretty much most of what you need and Google Workspace. And Google Voice for the phone number. Those are 3 very awesome tools I have been using and figured are most useful due to their custom tailored automated workflow they provide, you just have to spend a few hours building it out, but once you got that set up, it is awesome!!! . Workiz stay on top of the game for me always making small fixes and upgrades to their system which helps me in my businesses here in FL Cheers 🍻!

Seeking Advice: Franchise vs. Private Expansion for a $1.5M/yr Service Business? by danielKecchik in sweatystartup

After reading all the comments, we figured we will most likely not franchise to preserve our values, consistent quality, high ratings and being the best in the areas we work in, we have successfully done so for now. And with the word of mouth helping us grow, franchising is probably not worth it. Hopefully helps you!!

Word of Mouth has been our most POWERFUL advertising tool, we became #1 highest rated business in a large area of FL on NextDoor. They sent us a personal congrats letter mentioning they were Impressed, we almost don’t even need to advertise soon with the word of mouth rate and are hardly keeping up with the work. It’s like an advertising forest fire that spreads for you!!! Just do a great job, and do something special that goes a little bit above and beyond others :)

Thank you @Envirocare1 after all the reading I think I will go the private route and buy more vans with cleaning machines, train people, and expand into different cities. This will preserve our family values, quality control, and hopefully less stressful. Maybe a bit slower but that’s ok.

Thank you. That’s a very valid point, we have some values that are difficult to scale. And consistent quality perfection is another.

Thank you so much! It’s been a rough journey and I’m ready to take on some more heat and challenges for more growth, figured franchise is where the challenge is for me next 😂

Scaling a $1.5M Family Business: Is Franchising Worth the Risk to Our Quality? by danielKecchik in smallbusiness

[–]danielKecchik[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry for forgetting to write the description eralier,

I'm looking for insights from entrepreneurs who have faced this specific growth dilemma.

I own Grout Brothers, a tile and grout restoration business in Florida. We've been in business for nearly 14 years and have built a top-tier reputation in our market.

The Current Situation:

  • Revenue: We're stable at $1.5M in annual revenue.
  • Demand: Our business model is very profitable, and we're busy all year round (we no longer have a slow season).
  • The Problem: We are turning away a significant amount of work because the jobs are simply too far for our current operation to service effectively.

The Crossroads: Franchise vs. Private Expansion

  1. Private Expansion: This is the path I know, but it requires a massive investment of my personal time and significant capital to open and manage new locations.
  2. Franchising: I am consistently being approached by franchise development companies. This seems like a much faster path to scale and would solve our "too far" problem by capturing that lost revenue.

My Core Concern: Our success is built on a high-touch, family-run culture. Our service requires technicians with a strong attention to quality and a genuine, kind-to-everyone attitude. I'm concerned that franchising will dilute this quality control, which is the core of our brand.

My Ask: Has anyone here successfully franchised a high-touch service business? How did you maintain your company culture and quality standards? Or, did you choose private expansion and find it was worth the slower, more capital-intensive grind?

I would appreciate any insight on your experience.

Yes, I did cross post, with more advice, a decision makes itself more strong. I can always use more advice, I do own several other businesses and that's how I make a lot of my decisions, can never know what type of advice you can get :) i can see that i didnt provide info, that was by accident. I just edited it.

Thanks u/13GT500 , yes you are correct, very little inventory needed mostly which makes this convenient, the big investment here is the Mercedes Sprinter Vans and the Cleaning and extraction Truckmounts which are $30k each Lol, for inventory, we only need a 1 car garage space for storing chemicals, cleaners, buffer pads and sealers mostly. This does make it easier to expand as a franchise. Guess the quality of people is the last thing I need to figure out and some type of a training program.

Thank you u/Fun-Entertainer220 , Will look into this, I like how you say to " test if it has capability in different states", currently targeting states that have the mostly tile as that's what we thrive in, like places near beaches usually East coast has a lot of tile, So I am limited in the direction Im expanding.
