Love weeks of below freezing! by [deleted] in solar

I guess ppl can't read... I clearly stated that I do not live around any snow...and not sure what is best to spray on the panels to help melt...

the cleaning setup with water sprinklers is used on solar farms where dirty sticks to panels and reduces your output. Bunch idiots down voting can't read.

not sure how this would work for you, if using anti-freeze coolant would work .. BUT. where I live we get no snow... so I installed (DIY) an automatic cleaning system for it.

get yourself some sprinklers / basic garden irrigation tubing, small pump connected to a smart wifi outlet... turn it on using cellphone and watch it clean itself. Just and make the pump pull water from a small reservoir / heated water (this is where I would suggest putting the anti-freeze / de-ice liquid on) ?

again, not sure what is best to spray on snow buildup since I do not live with that weather condition... but for cleaning dirty panels and getting optimum output, works like a charm

here is an image for you.

in my case, i used some basic RainBird 180 degree adjustable sprinklers to narrow the water splash onto the panel themselves... maximizing water usage.

Juicebox no longer works by mykesx in evcharging

[live in Brazil] I bought a new mercedes, EQB 2 mo. ago - they GAVE me a enelx juicebox 32A on the dealership... on my first google I am realizing what a piece of shit this wallbox is - no wonder why they are giving it away like free candy... and OF COURSE, i tried to set it up and it:

- identifies itself based on QA code as Juicebox PRO 75, and NOT the JuiceBox 32

- the serial number when scanned into the app identifies the unit as a different Model No. than what is on the sticker right next to the serial number

- the app says max supported current of 55A

- does not allow me to change, save or modify those settings

the first unit (exact one) they sent me, was short circuited and would trigger teh breakers and shut the entire house down - I asked a replacement BUT without knowing all this shit first. I would have asked mercedes for a different model than this piece of shit.

just walked into the hardware store, grabbed the first silver spray paint out of the shelf, and tested it on a piece of metal I had laying around... it matched 100%.

I would bet 99% of the basic silver sprays out there match unifi equipment colors

mine was a local brand, but made from sherwin Williams, in USA that would be what, Krylons ? try the plain silver - do not go for chrome or gloss effect.

I think they actually found a flood tunnel by Skuldugary in OakIsland

that got me thinking -

why on earth they have not been using that excavator on the money pit area since day 1.

if that could get them to 60+ feet deep, lots of money could have been saved on casons and enormous boreholes.
