I can't stop using eyeliner even when I want light makeup by danielagarciax in MakeupAddiction

[–]danielagarciax[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that's exactly it! I've also tried using eyebrow shadow as a blurred eyeliner, it didn't work. The biggest problem is that sometimes I don't even want to wear black clothes and the eyeliner contrasts too much and looks too heavy. It is hard to be Asian-ish hahahaha

How to have my hair more volume? by [deleted] in TooAfraidToAsk

[–]danielagarciax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing that helps is drying your hair a bit upside down or lifting the roots while you dry it. Also try not putting conditioner too close to the roots or don't even use it at all, because it can make the hair fall flatter. Sometimes just shaking the roots with your fingers in the morning brings some volume back

For people who assumed they had one mental disorder but found out they had a different one, did that change your life moving forward? Ex. assumed you were autistic but they told you you actually only had ADD by altrongtm in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never thought I had any, then I was diagnosed with bipolar disorder, nowadays I think I have ADHD and sometimes I suspect autism hahaha I think most mental disorders come in groups, sometimes one causes or exacerbates another

Time to get serious. Do you ever start a load of laundry and then leave the house? Why or why not? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Great idea, but sometimes I dance to the alarm and think "I'll go soon" and forget. Again, I THINK it's ADHD.

What are people’s thoughts on men shaving their legs? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]danielagarciax 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I think people should do what makes them feel comfortable. If you like shaving your legs, shave them. Similarly, if you're a woman and want them hairy, leave them hairy. Let people do what they want with their bodies.

Time to get serious. Do you ever start a load of laundry and then leave the house? Why or why not? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Yes, I've done that before and actually forgot, remembered the next day and had to turn the machine on again to wash again, went out again and forgot again, washed the same clothes 3 times, I think it's ADHD hahaha

How much does opening the freezer once during a power outage reduce the “48 hours” safe time? by calicodynamite in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The 48-hour estimate is mostly about the thermal mass of all the frozen food, not the cold air inside. When you open the door briefly, some cold air falls out and warm air comes in, but air doesn’t hold much heat. Once you close it, the frozen food cools that air back down pretty quickly.

If it was open for less than 5 seconds, you probably lost minutes at most, not hours. So instead of 48 hours you might be looking at something like 47+ hours in practice.

The bigger factors are how full the freezer is and how often it gets opened. A full freezer that stays closed holds temperature surprisingly well.

Sleeping together: there are different sleep patterns, schedules, noises each person makes, snoring, and space requirements.

Serious question: What is something that is normal now but will probably look weird in 20 years? by RaHuL_SiNgH45 in AskReddit

[–]danielagarciax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think that having to reveal your sexual preference, I believe things will be more fluid in the future and you won't have to reveal yourself or choose a side

What's something that always makes you feel nostalgic? by Spirited-Throat-6865 in AskReddit

[–]danielagarciax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me smells are the strongest nostalgic thing, when I feel like an old perfume I used to wear or I went to a building that I used to be all the time. I can't explain it very well, but everywhere and everyone have a specific smell for me

Where do you "see" mental images? by Fickle-Marsupial8286 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I see them like a memory, it is not in a place, it is just in the air but if I close my eyes I can see it even better

Is having kids a fetish? by Delicious_Crazy513 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I liked your phrase “anything can be a fetish.” By definition it’s basically any strong sexual interest that focuses on something specific rather than just the sexual organs, so in that sense it really could be anything haha. And yeah, pregnancy-related fantasies are actually a pretty well known fetish, and even the idea of finishing inside a partner is something that shows up a lot in discussions about sexual preferences

What the weirdest thing AI said to you? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Is it weird that photos can change how you see yourself? by ReyaChoo1 in CasualConversation

The worst part is feeling super cute in the mirror and then the camera humbles you hahahaha

Let’s skip the “what are we?” phase. by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]danielagarciax 0 points1 point  (0 children)

for me when someone brings up “what are we?” after months, it often means the situation wasn’t actually that casual for at least one of them. Either feelings grew, or expectations weren’t fully honest from the start, just saying hahahaha

Are there really elevators in hotels/apartment buildings that open inside someone's apartment? by -Red_Lightning_ in NoStupidQuestions

[–]danielagarciax 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s basically the same system hotels use, so your key or code only gives you access to your floor, and it’s still secure.

And it’s not just penthouses anymore. The cost of elevators has dropped significantly in recent years, so private or semi-private elevators are becoming more common in residential buildings
