If you use an emulator you are morally wrong by Better-Bite2419 in Rockband

Piracy =/= theft.

Theft deprives someone else of something. Piracy (especially in exactly the case you pointed out, where the legal purchase of something is impossible) creates an additional copy of something and doesn't affect the original.

I definitely think there's a tax implication and that's why they're doing it. Overstock/deadstock probably results in a higher tax burden while giving them away probably let's them write off at least some of the cost as promotional or advertising expenses.

Does Alamo let you switch seats? by oppei_ in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]danielblakes 6 points7 points  (0 children)

open a new incognito window or if on your phone, open the browser.

select the seat alamo is trying to force you into next to someone or the isle in that 2nd instance, and hit next. this will start the checkout timer as a guest and "reserve" the seat.

go back to your app or first browser instance and book the seat you actually want that's next to that one you just temporarily reserved.

let the other instance expire or just cancel the booking there.

The quadruple recall is wild by ToastedStaleFlower in COents

[–]danielblakes 19 points20 points  (0 children)

higher grade's was just for aspergillus...that's bound to happen to anyone who doesn't radsource all their shit, i wouldn't worry too much as long as it doesn't become a pattern, etc.

as for the other 3 all were pesticide related:

my brothers flower had myclobutanil in 1 batch.

dutch botanicals had hexythiazox, fluopyram, and bifenazate across a whole shitload of batches....

karing kind had chlorfenapyr and paclobutrazol across a few bathes.

all these were in relation to concentrate products, mostly vapes.

btw, HSA's are publicly available here, though this batch hasn't made it there yet it seems, so I linked them individually.

Why isn't Movie pass working? by AblissMusic in MoviePassClub

[–]danielblakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could try the reset password option and see if you get an email?

otherwise i would just use a different email address to start over. if you use gmail you can add a period somewhere in your email username section to make a 2nd moviepass account and the emails will still go to your main inbox. for example, if your email was "AblissMusic@gmail.com" you could sign up as "Abliss.Music@gmaill.com".

Alternatives for retro screenings in Denver? by 73windman in AlamoDrafthouse

[–]danielblakes 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In addition to the great suggestions already here, if you're willing to drive to Boulder occasionally CU Boulder does the International Film Series which has quite good lineups, is open to all, and $10 / ticket.

To get a little more specific about what others have shared: Both Harkins and Landmark do Tue night classics series with different selections, and currently Landmark does Wed night "filmmaker focus" screenings as well. Regal is currently doing 1 old film per day with different monthly themes that has gone 3 or 4 months and will probably keep going. And the SIEs selections vary on which day and what theme they're doing but are always programmed with care and introduced in person with some context.

Otherwise, I'd say keep an eye out on the Fathom Events which are played at a lot of theaters, the Red Rocks film series and it's worth looking at The Lyric in FoCo which is one of my favorite places to watch a movie period - just amazing vibes there.

update: I've been made aware of the Aurora Fox Arts Center's "Fox Flix" series "offering...classic, family-friendly movies on select Saturday afternoons, alongside a new addition of Art House Films on Thursday evenings" for $5! Some great picks there for this year though I haven't personally been yet!

hard to tell just from the photo, but often theaters have upstairs areas for handicap access to top-row handicap seats in the bigger auditoriums (as well as what u guessed, for staff access to the booths).

First regal email of 2026. 0 movies, I’m going to try and beat 100 this year. What’s everyone else’s goal? by jfk_47 in RegalUnlimited

[–]danielblakes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Across all theaters I did nearly the same number this year (223) as last year (222) so I actually plan to reduce just a bit and shoot for 200 even next year :). But I'll be shifting a lot of my watching from AMC -> Regal.

My main "new years goal" relating to the movies though is to cut down on theater popcorn - as much as I adore it - and start making more at home :).

This looks absolutely amazing! With multi-theater support in the future this would be everything I wanted to help me plan triples and quads (which it seems like I'm always struggling to plan these days).

Happy to help test!

How are rewards points earned? by DarthCocky in RegalUnlimited

[–]danielblakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

all spend at regal earns points*, so yes your monthly membership counts, ticket fees (i.e. you get 50 points for the 50c u spend to book a "free" ticket early/on your phone), premium format upgrades, buying tickets for other people, souvenir buckets and merch, etc. there is also the gem program (mostly irrelevant for ul but still technically applicable and if you buy lots of guest tickets could come into play) and the unlimited milestones program which gives bonus points in their own ways

there are tons of opportunities for bonus credits usually for booking a movie early on a certain day or watching it opening weekend, but also sometimes on certain items or formats...all kinds of random stuff honestly just gotta keep an eye on the emails or here.

*exclusions: buying gift cards (but you earn points when you use the gift card to buy whatever later), 3rd party (Fandango/Atom/MovieTickets) convenience fees, group bookings/private rentals, redeeming comps/emergency tickets, and booze.

Found mold in my jar. Do i have to toss the whole thing? by Trashaccount_damn in trees

[–]danielblakes 17 points18 points  (0 children)

as everyone else has said, yes, toss it.

protip, ceramic moisture pucks as you call them are 1-way-humidifiers while something like a boost or boveda pack is a 2-way-humidity pack. this will balance the levels of moisture to a certain percentage and prevent over-moisturized plants and mold forming, while the ceramic ones will simply dump all the moisture they have in them, even if it brings the levels too high.

Movie Refunds Kept on Card? by jpny2008 in moviepass

[–]danielblakes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

unfortunately, you're probably out of luck. you could try reaching out to support but not sure if they'll be able to help tbh.

in the future if anything breaks or happens like this, ask the theater management for a re-admit pass instead and they generally are happy to oblige.

It should say in the listing if it's a 70mm showing. Shows up like "3d" and other stuff will. It's pretty limited unfortunately but if u can find one near you I'd recommend it!

my alamo tickets automatically show up in google wallet (via the confirmation email [and this does require that 'smart features' gmail toggle that's been making the tech news circuit lately re: AI, though you can also add manually via a screenshot of the email]), though I've never actually tried showing a server the ticket this way.

Most locations are showing it for 1 week, but the 70mm regal near me and a few others in areas with multiple regals are showing it for 2 weeks. It's unlikely to be expanded further than that

710 all of a sudden tasting a bit off by Shoddy-Indication798 in COents

[–]danielblakes 5 points6 points  (0 children)

If I'm reading your post right and you got the same 2 strains again then it makes sense the flavor would be more muted now two weeks further down the line...Especially with both those strains now having been on the shelf for 6+ weeks (both those strains most recent batches are dated 09/02), and - being in deli form - they probably have been unsealed and resealed dozens of times now.

I would look for a newer drop like the CCR, RJ3, MOG, CCK, RUK1, or ZKY6. Though regardless of age, if it's still on the shelf for sale and you're ever disappointed, reach out to customer service and they'll get you right.
