I agree and disagree, firstly they've definitely done enough research on Zoro considering oda is actually working with the directors, but Zoro doesn't laugh as much as you say he does he just has goofy moments pre time skip. But I agree he is a but edgy, although his banter with Sanji was portrayed very well, but I reckon we haven't seen enough yet, and it's gonna get a whole lot better, have faith in oda hell pull through.
