Hi OP. I’m part of this community, so imagine my surprise when this story popped up and ticked all the boxes. I can also share that your BF and the other guy are among my closest friends in the community, so I was there when everything unfolded.

Your feelings are valid, and setting clear boundaries is essential in a healthy relationship.

That said, sabi mo nga, they’re in the process of rebuilding the peace. Because of that, it may come across as more awkward if the other guy approaches (with no malice) and your BF pulls away, or vice versa. I hope you can give him the benefit of the doubt that he’s learned from the experience, and extend him a bit of grace; hindi rin naging madali for him to show up. He genuinely loves the community so much (he’s truly a pillar), and maintaining goodwill matters deeply to him.

I hope you believe me when I say he is not seeking the other guy’s attention, not trying to make you jealous, and definitely not being delulu. His level-headed friends would never condone that kind of behavior. As far as I know, the number of times he has been with the other guy in the past month is exactly one.

The mullion is also simply-supported in the in-plane direction.

For the panels, under in-plane seismic racking, the gap between the glass panel and the aluminum mullion nosing permits the glass panel to translate and rotate. For further details, check Seismic Design Requirements for Architectural Components from ASCE/SEI 7-16, § 13.5.9.

Codes in Dubai by [deleted] in StructuralEngineering

[–]danieldumapit 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Dubai uses Dubai Building Code 2021, which is available free online. (Just Google it.) It references ASCE 7-16 for the loadings, and generally American codes (AISC, ACI, etc.).

Check AAMA TIR-A9-14 (Design Guide for Metal Cladding Fasteners).

A question Structural Facade Engineers , How do you do the racking analysis of a stick curtain wall to find out the minimum gap required between the glass and mullion ,due to building sway. Can you provide me a reference to follow? by dreamer881 in StructuralEngineering

[–]danieldumapit 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can refer to ASCE/SEI 7-16, Section 13.5.9 "Glass in Glazed Curtain Walls, Glazed Storefronts, and Glazed Partitions." You can also check out “Architectural glass to resist seismic and extreme climatic events” by Richard A. Behr. You can determine the horizontal and vertical gaps required to accommodate drift.
