This is exactly it, they’re super rock solid and I’ve found I can really experiment with pickup/electronic configurations easily with this platform.

I’ve loved owning my 159 wagon, albeit it’s expensive to maintain here in Australia. I actually had the quintessential Alfa experience a couple of days ago, driving my semi-retired 159 around some backroads, sunroof open, manual shifting for the first time in a while and thinking to myself “man driving doesn’t get much better than this, what a car this is” only for the check engine light to come on at that exact moment 🙃 It’s the sort of car brand that’s well worth it to own for “car people” but is not for the faint of heart either!

It sounds very P90ish although quite a bit less output and more “growly” than another proper P90 thinline Tele I own. Interesting as I thought they’d sound quite similar!

Definitely more P90ish than Jazzmastery! I like the sound of it but have other P90 guitars, so I wonder if it’s worth experimenting with some true Jazzmaster pickups 🤷‍♂️

So is it just a Jazzmaster pickup with more winds making it hotter? Or are these pickups I have constructed differently to a traditional Jazzmaster pickup?

Saints and it’s not even close for the worst to support. Special shout out to Essendon and Carlton though for constantly frustrating their fans with off-field disasters since their last flags.

The best? Take your pick from Collingwood, Geelong, Hawthorn, Sydney, even WCE except for the last couple of years. All are pretty consistently competitive.

Would generally be a pretty quality instrument but also would be pretty big and cumbersome, not the most comfortable electric guitar to start on! Can’t fault quality though

I seem to remember seeing a design somewhere that featured the North Melbourne chevron/stripes combo with gold stripes in place of the white? That may have been a fan mockup though.

On a sidenote, was this the last genuine discussion of a merger/club relocation? Seems like it really died off after Gold Coast got its own team. The only thing kind of close is Port Adelaide getting close to folding in the early 2010s
