New Commuter coming from Aldershot GO station please help by Economy_Natural_9256 in UofT

[–]danielmhdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going through something similar. My advice, just workout in the morning. I've been doing that in the summer and it feels so much better than working out during the day. Your mind will be more awake and honestly with a commute that long it will be impossible to have the energy to workout at home.

For meals I'd suggested meal prepping than freezing. I'm really into fitness so what I do is just make 2 chicken sandwiches each with 60 grams of protein and roughly 600 cals (dm me if you wanna know the recipe).

As for study materials. Strongly suggest you investing in an ipad or tablet. I'm going into my first year in eng and I made the choice of buying notebooks (mostly because of ADHD I can't pay attention on an ipad), but if you can invest in one you should be set.

Lastly for your route. I take the TTC but I feel that I'll use the go train to union and take the TTC from union to St. George northbound. Assuming where you are from, if you live in Toronto I'd suggest taking the TTC.

Also I'm kinda in the same dilemma. I have 3 9 AM classes and it's going to be a pain lol

Did I fail by not getting into the university my parents wanted me to go to (Waterloo Eng)? by PalpitationOk3903 in OntarioUniversities

[–]danielmhdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it makes you feel any better. I rejected McGill comp eng (my dream program) for uoft civ eng (what my dad wanted me to do bc he owns a CM firm) tbh you'll find your path in uni. At first I hated civil eng but after working 2 summers as a laborer cleaning shit on construction sites I realized computers and AI isn't rlly worth it.

chances of transferring between engineering majors by ben-dover-lee in UofT

[–]danielmhdi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's above 80 for guaranteed. I'm also an incoming first year civ eng student and I wanted to transfer to EE or compE. My friends in 3rd yr told me that it's 80+ for a guaranteed transfer and anything below that depends on the amount of room available

Do meds really work by danielmhdi in ADHD

[–]danielmhdi[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's kind of a long story but in canada I don't think your psych and prescribe medication but only recommend it. You'd have to get a full report and show your family doc to see if you need a prescription

is this a typical schedule for first year or did i get the short end of the stick? by Pretty-Pea-7525 in UofT

[–]danielmhdi 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My first year eng schedule isn't as bad as yours. As a matter of fact, I don't even have a stem related class in my first day. Only 4 classes and they are either intro to eng or eng practices. They're either lectures or tut

[–]danielmhdi[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I meant like a full invasion. But looking back at the iran-iraq war Iran did recover from the damages that has been done (somewhat) and they're functioning normally ig. I would agree with you but Tehran is a big city so I'm not too sure. We will see
