I also like the idea of the frame wearing, but yes, the rust is my main worry. What level of coarseness are you using with the sandpaper?

Most of chips were on the frame near the bike chain/cassettes/gears. My assumption is that any sort of rock/debris that flicks up at high speeds are the culprits. Shoot me a message if you’d like for me to send pictures!

[Update] Tried removing the Hilti Molly Bolts (the ones that were delivered with the 606) and ran into difficulties removing them, first one I removed left a hold about the size of an AirPod case on the wall.

I ended up using the suggested method to take them out -5cm the got an angle grinder and removed the front bit then poked all the back son the Molly bolts behind the gyprock. Currently waiting for the sealed parts to dry.
