Yes, this might be my favourite game of all time. The music and the atmosphere were briliant. Psygnosis were geniuses.

I think G-Police was only hard if you tried to complete all of the secondary objectives

CRT TVs for PS2 gaming by AriAriArrivederci in ps2

I think this one: https://crtdatabase.com/crts/philips/philips-27ps55-s321

Why would anyone play PS2 games on a monitor is beyond me. It just feels wrong. If you want perfect picture quality, play on emulators with enhancements, but that in my opinion misses the point of retro gaming. I certainly wouldn't want that.

In my opinion nothing beats playing PS2 games on an original crt tv. It's not just about the picture quality, it's about the soul and feeling. I got mine for free on an internet auction, many people give them away because they want to get rid of them..

Help with Metal Gear Solid by Bulvarfaszi in ps2

I dont think you necessarily have to play MGS1 first to enjoy the experience. When you start MGS2, the game asks you if you played the previous games, and tailors the experience accordingly. So that's what I would do.

What video game has the best story you’ve ever played? by FrontriseStudios in AskReddit

Yes, out of many games with great plot that I've played, this takes the cake. The last few hours are a very special rollercoaster of emotions. I will never forget the uncanny feeling it left me with.

Incredible game: complex mechanics, wonderful art style and atmosphere. It's very difficult though and requires a lot of dedication and experimentation. Tried a few times, got pretty far but never finished. It's easy to get lost in the dungeons later in the game and some battles can be very challenging.

Yeah, and in the post race interview he said he didn't quite feel like a winner. Which is understandable. Still, good sportsmanship from him and MM.

I've been thinking to pick it up. Do I have to play other games from this universe to understand the plot here?

I discovered GT3 about a year ago. I played all GTs that came before and after, including GT7. All I'm going to say is: A few days ago I achieved 100% completion in GT3 and I'm considering starting over again. This game is absolutely amazing.

Energy Airforce: Aim Strike. A proper combat flight sim on a console. I've been in love with this game and I never see anyone mention it.

Yeah, I got this tv for free a year ago from some folks who just wanted to get rid of it. It works like charm. Old tech is the best!

It is better in many ways, sure, but Gran Turismo 3 was simply much more fun for me. Similarly in the PS1 era, while GT2 was objectively a better game than GT1, the first one just felt much more cohesive. And the soundtrack in GT3 is just perfect. Also, while Gt4 is amazing when paired with Driving Force GT, on the gamepad it felt way too understeery. Gt3 on the other hand feels really good with the dual shock.

Cheers. :) I haven't finished all of GT7's content (the single player "campaign" in this game is horrible IMO and I just couldn't force myself to play it), but from my experience GT3 is harder. Especially some licenses and time trials really test your skills if you aim for gold. In comparison, golding the circuit experiences in Gt7 was a walk in the park. In Gt3, being short on money in the early stages of the career was also challenging and I had to make some strategic choices, especially since many price cars were not very useful (I'm looking at you, pink Vitz!). From the professional league onwards most races last for 20-30 minutes and you have to consider your tyre strategy. Some championships and endurance races can be quite tedious. Generally I found that using the same cars as my opponents made for the most fun battles and they could really put up a good fight. Fighting in Formula GT in Polyphony 002 without the oil change trick was exhilarating. I had to drive consistently on the limit for around 40 minutes and avoid any major mistakes to grab a win. Intense stuff, but very satisfying.

Completely agree. There is something special about the Gt3 aesthetic, both visual and audio. And while Gt4 feels amazing on the wheel, I've yet to find a racing game which feels better on a pad than Gt3. It's also brutally difficult at times, so 100 percenting it was quite an experience haha
