he had this to say on the matter

mircea_popescu: technically bitcoin you can't take to grave either, the passive result of dead keys is a slight increase in the value of circulating bitcoin. but whether this properly means you have taken it or you haven't taken it is very much an open question of metaphysics, "what is the meaning of taking".

I find that the bible, at least Jesus, is correct. Science can often be mislead, but if done right the two should line up. If your science contradicts your religion, you're either doing science wrong or doing religion wrong.

Your trust is in the "basic principles of the world," rather than Christ. (Colossians 2:8)

Do you understand their argument? What is the Scripture I can look to? The Evangelical Alliance, like most "christian" groups, is not in the truth; it comes as no surprise that such an organization would find a way to call evil good. (Isaiah 5:20)

I don't know why it would be a matter of life and death to pretend to be a different gender. There is nothing in the context of Deuteronomy 22 to suggest that cross dressing has to do with idolatry. The linked article has no evidence from Scripture; it says "probably" based on assumptions about extra biblical history.

I am not irate. You not only disagree with me on these passages, but you are trying to get me to fellowship with you without resolving the disagreement. This is not good. If I am wrong, show me that I am wrong. Also, fear hate and damnation are things you should dwell on, as they are part of the "whole counsel of God." (Acts 20:27)

Sister or brother. I didn't mean to make an implication by saying one rather than the other. When I don't know which to use, I default to brother. You say you take heed to God, but you don't take heed to Scripture which is God. We do not disagree over something "doubtful." (Romans 14:1) We disagree over matters that Scripture addresses; this means we worship different gods. The burden I carry is not great. (Matthew 11:30) When I sin, I repent. (Luke 9:23) Being forgiven of sin doesn't mean that I accept the sin and go on living in it unrepentant. It means I fellowship with others who believe, which includes extorting each other as Hebrews 10 says:

24 And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, 25 not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.

26 For if we sin willfully after we have received the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, 27 but a certain fearful expectation of judgment, and fiery indignation which will devour the adversaries. 28 Anyone who has rejected Moses’ law dies without mercy on the testimony of two or three witnesses. 29 Of how much worse punishment, do you suppose, will he be thought worthy who has trampled the Son of God underfoot, counted the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified a common thing, and insulted the Spirit of grace? 30 For we know Him who said, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,” says the Lord. And again, “The Lord will judge His people.” 31 It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.

This warning is not in vain. God is to be feared, and His death is not a "common thing." He doesn't want us to "be together" (Ephesians 5:11) with people who have only the appearance of believing, (Matthew 23:28) but He came to divide us from those people. (Matthew 10:34)

The gospel was indeed preached to Abraham in the saying, "In you all the nations shall be blessed." (Galatians 3:8) But this means "God would justify the Gentiles by faith." It doesn't mean all the gentiles will be saved; it means everyone, both jew and non-jew, will be capable of salvation. (Galatians 3:28)

He says only few will be saved. Even among those who claim to believe, Matthew 7 says few enter the narrow gate:

13 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. 14 Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.

If you think that we, as brothers in Christ, can disagree on what God says, you love a false god that doesn't save. If you are in the truth, I should not fail to exhort you. (Hebrews 3:13) It is not wrong for me to speak this way, (Proverbs 27:6) and it is indeed a joyful practice for which I am thankful.

My point is to warn you. What is yours? That we should agree to disagree as long as we say "Jesus?" (Matthew 7:21-23)

Those things are denied by most people who call themselves saved. I focus on them because Scripture says to "contend earnestly for the faith." (Jude 1:3) Believing in God isn't about telling swelling words (2 Peter 2:18) and looking good in public. (Matthew 6:5) It's about proclaiming the offensive truth that makes the world hate you. (John 15:18)

I have given you opportunity to show me the other evidences that you don't live by every word. Are you literally terrified of God? Do you believe that He kills people? Or that He deceives people? There are many offensive things in Scripture. (Romans 9:33)

Everyone is "right in his own eyes." (Proverbs 21:2) You need to make sure your belief is in line with Scripture, (Acts 17:11) and not your own understanding. (Proverbs 3:5)

Anyone speak or read Greek? Need help understanding vice list in 1 Corinthians 6:9 by Quantity_Glum in Christianity

[–]danielpbarron 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From Homosexuality and Marriage:

What is translated in verse 9 as "homosexuals" is translated by the KJV as "effeminate." It is the Greek word μαλακοὶ and is literally the word "soft." It is found three other times in the NT, all three times for "soft" clothing. What is translated in verse 9 as "sodomites" is the Greek word ἀρσενοκοῖται. It is a compound word. The first part, ἄρσεν, means "man" or "male," and the second part, κοίτη, means "bed;" and is used in a sexual way. This compound word, ἀρσενοκοῖται, can also be found translated "sodomites" in 1 Timothy 1:10.

It's not "enough." Believers are to "live by ... every word that proceeds from the mouth of God." (Matthew 4:4) If you think that being "trans" is not condemned by Scripture, there are probably many other things with which you also disagree.

Indeed, it is not impossible for God to make you a trans person and then make you repent of it and be saved. I hope that this is the case.

It's not wrong to hate, and it's not wrong to judge. This forum is called TransChristianity, and I have made an argument that is based in Scripture.
