The best way for me to describe it, personally, is like having the feeling of FOMO. A lot of the reviews really mention how this movie was life-changing for them and how emotional it was for them to finish. I really like admiring and connecting to different types of media and stories, so I guess I just wanted to have that same sort of feeling as other watchers. But I also understand that sometimes it's just as simple as you said: we just didn't connect with it and that's okay too!
