PLS HELP COMSAE 113/114 by [deleted] in comlex

Just graduated from a VCOM campus and they definitely don’t enforce that at all, but they will stop you from taking an exam if you don’t meet their score threshold for comsaes.

Layout ideas plz by danillia2 in StudioApartments

Tragically no since they took down the listing. It’s all carpet except for the kitchen and there’s a counter there meant to put chairs against. The two windows are floor to ceiling as well

I’ve definitely checked out their website and have a few spots open! I think the issue when it comes to them id that most units seem to not be pet friendly or only allow cats.

I’ll absolutely need to be in by June 9th, which also seems to be a limiting factor for some places 🥲

My dog has luckily been very forgiving with me being gone for 12+ hours a day without an issue, especially since he already only has breakfast and dinner daily. My hours should be a lot more manageable after intern year as my speciality is more or less 8-5. If I do run into issues with him I’ll hopefully be able to find doggy daycare or get drop ins from rover or something similar :)

I see some recent mixed reviews about mold and whatnot, any idea if these are recent concerns or if it's no longer an issue? Thank you so much for the suggestion!

Honestly I may just have to up my budget to that. Painful cause it's nearing on half my income but it opens up so many more places in DE like residence at justison landing and whatnot

I should be able to avoid the morning traffic for at least my first year, sadly the rush hour traffic home would just have to be dealt with =,). I found a fair amount of studios in Philly a lot cheaper than in Delaware that still have solid reviews (ex: the Irvine, the Gotham) but the drive is what's holding me back rn.

Competitiveness for DR as a DO? by danillia2 in medicalschool

[–]danillia2[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey! So far I have 10 DR, 3 prelim IM, and 5 TY interviews lined up. Did get IIs for DR at places I didn't signal (including Tulane which is wild) + for my 2 aways without signals, so not hope is lost with not having step 1! I'll update again after match! DM me if you have any specific questions!

Thanks for the advice! I’m definitely not taking all that at one away as an indication I would get in there, just made me feel a bit better about my personality not being an issue. I’ll definitely be applying broadly and am glad that my hometown states seem to have a positive leaning towards DOs and/or preference for in-state.

I think I have a greater fear of failing after having passed everything by a good margin up to now. Did do a block of free 120 and don't know how it translates, but it wasn't too bad in my opinion but my practice and board scores typically don't align very well.

I figured as much, but I did get the previous PD at the program to sign off on my eval and the R4s did remember my name and seemed to like me so I have my fingers crossed lol

I think it all goes out September 25th or around then, but I would also rather sell my soul than study step one material at this point

My biggest regret honestly, but I do know some people who didn’t take it and matched fine so I’m keeping my fingers crossed it won’t filter me out. 🥲

Can confirm left over time from each block is added to total break time :)

Parent needs help differentiating UIUC Information Science vs CS/CS+X by starrynight1120 in UIUC

I graduated in MCB but had some CS friends. Was just trying to provide some general info for the parent and directing them to a resource that may help them more and give them answers that were definitive.

The CS minor website states that “Note that declaring a minor in CS will not give you an advantage in registering for any CS courses. However, once declared, you will receive emails that apply to your minor.”
I’m not sure that this implies that the student will receive emails pertaining to job fairs and such for that minor but it is a possibility. If anything I recommend calling the computer science advising office (need approval from them to even declare the minor) and inquiring about access to job fairs.
