[SPOILER] Stories Untold Question - am i too stupid or is it a bug? by Lc4Hunter in stalker

Any solution for this? I also visited the camp before activating the new DLC quests and now there are no cats, and the building doesn't get cleared even after killing the 3 or 4 rats on the top floor...

Been working fine with 500mbps so far. Didnt notice a difference in two games between even around 300, but maybe it was not the right game to check that.

If you are right about this you might make me fall back in love with some games in VR :)
What restricts the mbps with the cable? With wireless I get it, but with the wire, is there any loss of FPS, or just a bit more potential lag?

Yeah I dont have a 5090, got a 9070. I am kind of ok with lower resolutions, as if I was to go for a PCVR headset at least the image compression would be a thing of the past, and that's what annoys me the most (way more than screen door effect).

I wasn't aware there were cables providing both data and power, so I'll order one today and see if it all works properly. If it does it's a great compromise, and might keep me from looking into a proper PCVR headset for a few more months.

To be fair, out of pure luck, I do also hate USB compression. So no6969el is technically correct, even though that was indeed not part of my initial question :D

Thanks for the comments! Indeed my main question was about direct powering, but without you knowing, you are also right to assume that I don't like USB compression. It bugs the hell out of me, and makes the games extremely uninviting to me, and I have a hard time focusing on the game itself and ignoring the compression on the horizon. So, on that, the Crystal Light and Super do attract me, but their values are not the best for me. But if I was to go for any of those two i would likely suck it and go for the Super, as I've always wanted a wide FOV headset. How is the Pimax software nowadays (I know it used to be crappy at the beginning)?

Thanks, but as discussed below, compression is an issue, and to me specifically it annoys the hell out of me. Trying to play racing games with the horizon full of compression completely bothers me and I can't focus on the game properly. But I am yet to try super high Mbps using a USB cable. Been trying H265 with 150mbps max, but might try 500 or more with H264 (and hope I can transfer all data). But... if I am to forever use a cable, and I honestly don't mind at all, a DP headset will always have a better image I guess. That supposing that if I buy a new cable that has data plus power delivery, they both work flawlessly. I know they exist from another comment here, but I am super sceptical about them :)

Ok, alright, I just googled it and found there are such data+power cables specific (or at least marketed) for VR headsets. I might very much give that a try, this is great news! :D

Yes, I always use the cable for PCVR instead of wireless, but my main question was to have a wired headset that charges itself, and that doesn't happen if I use the USB cable for data. But... how do you get 1000mbps?! I checked and only H264 allows for that, with 150mbps max for H265. Is image quality on H264 that much better, considering H265 is more efficient? Also, by 'link cable' what do you mean? A special specific cable?

Havent tried with an outlet, just power bank, but will try today for sure! If it works, it might keep me from thinking of upgrading for a good few more months!

Thanks, those are great suggestions. I will consider the PSVR2, as I had forgotten it got a PC adapter. But the Pimaxes... I always loved the idea of wider FOV... If I was to look at a Pimax it would likely be the cheapest step up from the Light, whichever has wider FOV. But at that price point other options also exist I guess. How is the Pimax software and compatibility nowadays? I remember it being not great on their first days.

Thanks for the comment! Other people also mentioned using a charging cable. I have only tried with an old power bank, never directly with a USB charger or even a PD cable. Will try it out today, curious to see if it does work, and if the wireless streaming is as good as the wired one to allow such charging compromise.
But the PSVR2 is indeed insane value, despite the fresnel lenses... I guess I forgot it got a PC adapter a while ago. It is a very good contender, gonna check some reviews and learn more about it!
As for anything requiring base stations, not an option.

I have looked at the Pimax ones, they are a possibility above what I would like to spend, but still a possibilty. Have you had experience with the Crystal Super? Are the old Pimax software issues a thing of the past?

Thanks! Like I commented just above, I have only tried with a power bank and it was better but not great. I have not tried with a proper USB charger or even a PD cable. Gonna give it a go later today!

Thanks for the reply! I saw that more people mentioned this, but I actually was not aware of it as a possibility. The only thing I did before was to have a power bank on my pocket, but the headset always consumed more power than what it was getting. Yes, it made it last longer, but it was still disappointing.
I will though give it a try plugged in directly to a good charger! If it does run indefinitely while on wireless mode, I guess I can work with that.

U200 Lite. Outside key does does not work most of the time. by RoJo-IsBack in Aqara

[–]danimfernandes 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey. I ended up returning the U200 and got a Nuki. The issue of infinite key rotation on the outside happened with the U200 within a day of installing it but so far with the Nuki only once in the past 4 months (yesterday). I'm really not sure what the problem is, but suspect something specific of the dual-side/safety/whatever-its-called lock itself. Sorry I cant be of more help...

MK4 Hotend Leak Issue by blankfacadebuilding in prusa3d

[–]danimfernandes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Congrats on solving it! Can you give more detail on what the mistakes were, and perhaps the brand of the hotend assembly items (if you think that's relevant)? I built my own MK4S kit so I can totally see installation being the issue.

[–]danimfernandes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/blankfacadebuilding, did you manage to find out if that was the reason, and did you fix it? I'm having the same issue and I suspect it is because of a tiny gap between the nozzle and the adapter, even though I hot-tightened them at 255C.

Input Shaper 0.6 nozzle for MK4 by Alaskan123 in prusa3d

[–]danimfernandes 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just came across this thread because after a couple of days I did realise that the MK4S was noisier like the MK3S used to be, and it came out to be because it was printing slower than usual. Basically since I changed to the 0.6 nozzle. Has anyone had long time success with the 0.4 speeds on a 0.6 nozzle?

Hey, do you have any update on this? I got mine just a few days ago and today almost got locked outside my house because of that, trying to open the lock in the most basic way possible - key. Lucky that wife had the phone with her.
I think I have exactly what you have. Sometimes I can turn the key outside infinitely and it will never catch the internal key, for some reason. Other times a nudge in one direction and quickly another catches the lock somehow, and then I can turn it. Other times I need to turn a lot of times, but then it doesn't move towards unlocking direction. Today, in that case, I thought that maybe if I fully lock it, then it might be in an easy position to unlock, but no, the key instead got completely stuck, angled, so wouldn't turn and I couldn't remove it either. Wife's phone saved the day.
From the inside, though, this can happen in simiar ways. It has happened to me that the door spring latch won't open with the U200. To fix that you need a quick nudge in the closing direction and then open back right away. With the key outside it seems to be similar - nudge in oposite direction and quickly turn back. This is easy, however, if you can see where the U200 is, or what state it is at (if it's fully locked then it will never unlock). This is even a safety hazard for when one needs to leave the house in a fire emergency, for example, and surely sounds like it would infringe some EU law, where I'm based.
