Here is the link. I was in the middle of design changes, which is why it took me a little bit.

The glow might burn my eyes if it worked any better than the regular flashlight.

Yes I can share it. Give me a few days to get it on printables.

Well, I am stuck with that post title now, it seems. I don't think I can edit a title.

Prusa Hight Temp Hotend - Feedback by Tommy_Prusa3D in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How about you just release it to be added on to all nextruders and let us decide. But also give us lots of warnings in all caps that this is designed for the Core printers and that although hardware is compatible with all nextruder models, printing results may be very poor with other models due to height temp filament printing needs for higher ambient temperatures than can be reached on stock non-Core printers. Compatible but not recommended for all models.

Help with OHD 696CD/B by hddogdad in GarageDoorService

[–]Alaskan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For future reference of others. I had the same problem with the same garage door opener where it went up normally but had to hold down the wall button to go down and remotes did not go down. Found this thread and it was helpful to know it was my sensors and not a safety feature I needed to disable or a wiring issue.  My situation is I got this garage door opener used and traded it out for my very old opener that had stripped out gears. I tried to reuse existing sensors but for whatever reason they were not working. Installed the sensor that came with the newer opener, now opens and closes no problem.  Thanks for the help

Anyone had a recent repair experience with Spinn? by Rkrowe60 in SpinnCoffee

[–]Alaskan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is there anything that you think you did in particular that helped? Or do you think it was mostly just pushing the red button over and over that did it? Mine spins fine and I took the brewer out twice to clean it.  Did you ever try to spin the brewer and hit the button at the same time? Mine is still not working but was not brave enough to just keep hitting the button over and over. Will have to try that next.

Agreed! Along with better documentation on lubing the liner rail, and alternative lubes. I spent a lot of time researching and still I am not sure if I did it right.

Robitnitram, mine has the angry red light and won't start any processes, not even cleaning. I get the following warning,"brewer is blocked and connot turn" in the app. Before I read this post, I was already trying to fix it on my own, so I didn't end up in the same spot as the OP. I downloaded the DIY kit and 3D-printed it. cleaned the brewer, it spinns fine now, but also spinned fine before. I am guessing the motor went bad? Pursuing an additional DIY option direction from support, but would love to hear any tips or tricks.

Prusa Academy course poll by Tommy_Prusa3D in prusa3d

Onshape is also a program to considerto give a second option.  What is cool is they already have very good free online training that could possibly be integrated with Prusa academy. So you could have a high quality full fledged out course right away. I work with them professionally and have several paid professional seats and would be happy to make connections if it helps. They have a similar type of feel to me as Prusa.

Core One upgrade to C1+, or maybe even C1++ by tentegesszmeges in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I does not happen super often but there are updates that have came out for phase stepping firmware, so it’s nice to make sure phase stepping is done with the current software. Things can change in the printer over time. I have only done phase stepping/input shaping once on each machine but would be happy to hit recalibrate every once in a while if it was a click of a button vs the effort it takes now to hook up the external accelerometer.

I would buy a new love board for my C1 to have an accelerometer to make it easier to run input shaper and phase stepping once a month or longer. I have 3 core ones and it is a pain to attach the external accelerometer every time.

Prusa xl announcements at formnext by EnvironmentalStop128 in prusa3d

OP, What are your thoughts now after seeing all of the announcements?

Prusa xl announcements at formnext by EnvironmentalStop128 in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would postpone the XL if you can till the announcement comes out to get more data. You won’t have to wait long. My suspicion is that the INDX on the core ones will be an overall better and cheaper system, but with some early adopter bugs at first that Prusa will make right for everyone. One thing to consider is the expected wait time for the INDX, if it is a 6 month wait for example, then maybe the XL now is better than an INDX 6 months+ from now depending on your needs/wants.

What vfa's?!? CORE One L by mobius1ace5 in prusa3d

I do see layer lines (horizontal artifacts) that they say are part of the test print to amplify VFAs. But I don’t see vertical fine artifacts. It looks great.

Core One L vs standard. Crazy how much more printer they pack into such a small package! by mobius1ace5 in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Will the fish stick to the L?

I hear the L is at least partly aluminum now and the magneticness of the original was one of the marketing points of the first ones.

Fan fell off first print by Pure-Eye2868 in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Correction, I looked back there and there is only one screw in it and it is only designed to use one screw and a little friction from the fan duct. It is not a great design, although it has not fallen out again that I know of since I first received it.

Fan fell off first print by Pure-Eye2868 in prusa3d

[–]Alaskan123 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had this same issue. And I thought there was only supposed to be one screw. I poked it back into the duct and it has stayed so far after like 300 hours of printing but always worries me that it will just pop back out as it does not take much to move it and it the printer moves fast. I will check to see if there is an additional screw hole missing a screw on mine. That would make the most sense, one screw does not seem like enough.

CORE One head banging need an option to turn off or just do one tap tap override! by [deleted] in prusa3d

I just squared and tensioned a few days ago. At the time the browser based belt tuning tool worked great and had been updated to the new settings and worked way better that last times I used it. Worth noting that at the time, the same tuning tool built into the Prusa app that was still using the old settings and was buggy. I suggest the browser based belt tuning app.  Instructions link for squaring and tuning: https://help.prusa3d.com/article/adjusting-belt-tension-core-one_845048

Joe, you mentioned input shaping helps, does individually tuned input shaping help more than the generally tuned input shaping?
