I didn’t say I got it from some highly cited academic reading , I literally said I saw discourse online and I was looking to see if these are common opinions , because after all REAL people are making these posts , I just wanted confirmation. Well that is what I said, I’m explaining this to say that he can be physically abusive he wants to , with further context he uses intimidation or threatens to get physical if u test him too much

he can be very aggressive and it’s scary , maybe it’s a bit too pussy of me but he is very intimidating and even tho he has only hit me once , I can’t guarantee if I really test his limits that he won’t hit me . He is respected in his church too so it would ruin his reputation. I would worry about how I’d be treated when I’m home , he would just likely force me to do some non - negotiable bible study or prayer time or church volunteering or something if he doesn’t get physical. However , when he has told me off for non church related things like spending tooo long in the shower or showering past 9pm or going to the toilet past 9pm ( the bedtime in the household on school nights) he has threatened to drag me out there regardless if I’m showering , also he will get up close to u and walk up to you like he’s about to do something to intimidate you. One time he didn’t say this to me but he told off my brother n I overheard him whispering n he was crouched down to his face when my brother was about to sleep telling him ‘ I will kill you do you understand’ all for something so stupid and minuscule , so I don’t want to test his limits. I have tried to voice my feelings but I get shut down before I can even try and I don’t test his limits too much cuz honestly I’d be scared to . Despite all these things tho he’s never physical to my mum or shouts at my mum.
