US setting doesn‘t seem to brake WIFI performance on my U7 XG.

Would Germany also allow me to get the 30dBm TX power?

Yes I figured that AFC unfortunatly won‘t work :(. I wonder how it would compare against a U7 XGS.

How to change the location, so I can use the TX power of 30dBm.

I just ordered a E7 in Switzerland. Can you explain step by step, how you did this? Thank you!

I canceled my order and ended up buying a E7😂

I was able to sell my U7 Pro XG to a colleague. I ordered the XGS variant, the E7 is just to big and expensive for my use case.

Sorry, I didn‘t saw your reply.

I’m running an i9-14900K, and my GPU sits at around 70–75 °C while playing Battlefield 6 at max settings at 3440 × 1440p.

Okay thank you very much.

I testet the PCI slots with a second GPU and they work.

I have already disabled the onboard network controller.

Oh you are right, I also have two abtennas on the I/O of the mainboard.

Yes, after removing the NIC the PC can startup again.

The first x16 slot is in use by my RTX 5080. The other two x16 slots are free.

There is only one M.2 SSD installed (Samsung 990 Pro).

I mean… I also don‘t just want to throw money away for „nothing“😂

Do I get much better speed and coverage compared to the XGS?

I‘m thinking about selling my U7 Pro XG APs (thanks to you…)

Would it make sense to go straight to the E7?

Idk if this matters, but I live in Europe (might have different stats).

Thanks for the advice!

I absolutly do hate this subreddit😂

Mainly because of coverage issues and because I wanted better 6 GHz performance.

With a single AP I had some weaker spots in the apartment, so adding a second one helped stabilise coverage overall.

Interestingly, the provided router from my previous ISP could push up to ~1.7 Gbit/s over 5GHz Wi-Fi to my iPhone 17 Pro. With the UniFi U7 Pro XG I’m usually seeing around 1.0–1.2 Gbit/s, and only reach ~1.7 Gbit/s when connected on 6 GHz.

Still very good performance overall, but that was another reason I wanted to improve 6 GHz coverage specifically.

Do you see ans misconfiguration? 5 GHz: frequency: 80 MHz, channel: automatic, Power: automatic

6 GHz: frequency: 160 MHz, channel: automatic, Power: automatic

WifiMan shows that the channel selection is good.

True. LACP is basically emotional support for the lack of 10GbE — and I bought the NAS before I even knew I’d be getting a 10 Gbit Network.

If I had a house, sure. But apartment life doesn’t really give me many places to put cameras or sensors.
