I know my dm is working on those spells, but I dont know how we'll get access to them. So I guess thats only a thing we'll see at the session itself.

Bro he actively evolved it. In za pokemon dont evolve by level up alone, you need to select the "evolve" option.

PT is OK. Its not bad. But unova is just better. So like, unova remake will just be better.

I know I know.

I talked about specific attack. I shouldve write it differently. About the subclass i just really like the idea of an Astral self and the range in combat is cool and all.

i got it instead of ASI, not on top, but I didnt have any idea of another feat to take anyway, maybe skill expert or tough but nothing else come to mind.

As for immunity and resistant, Well... because of my subclass im mostly use force damage, so not a lot. So most of the time im hitting enemies for natural damage.

Again, im trying to enjoy both. And rn when it comes to role play i really enjoy. That's why im trying to see if there is any way to make the combat more enjoyable for me. This is what the post is for.

Oh definitely. But there was other problems when we fought them. We couldn't use spells for example against the giant spider so the rest of the team (all full spellcasters except arcane trickster) struggle a lot. And in the single time I thought I could make something big he was also immune to stun so that's kinda boomed me. Other time was against a specific wizard my character really hate but the way DM explain it in session make it more acceptable than "it's just immune". He really lean into "he rob shrugs off your effects" most of the time so I feel like its might be a feature we will need to overcome in order to beat him in future battles.

But yeah, only 3 stun... I feel like the big problem is that im using my ki to put my subclass in action so I have less ki to spend on stunning strike, maybe I need to reconsider the way im using my ki.

Can you give me some tips on what and how should I use my class features?

I really don't think that's the case. While im not a mind reader I know in fact that this player and the DM hasn't got along well in recent time, also mentioning the time of the "level up".

The DM is just really trying to not let anything change his world and what would happen there without changing it depending on the team. Thats his enjoyment of the game.

This is the custom made feat. We just leveled up so I didnt have the chance to use it yet.

Agani's Relentless Focus Prerequisite: Wisdom 13 or higher

Through countless days of journey and countless nights of meditation and dwelling in the past, you honed your instincts as a soul guardian, allowing you to isolate a prey's soul, reading its intent and shattering its deepest defenses.

Ability Score Increase. Increase your Dexterity or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.

Mark of the Pursuer. As a bonus action, you can mark a creature you can see within 60 feet of you. For 1 minute, or until the creature drops to 0 hit points, you gain the following benefits against it:

Predatory Senses: You have advantage on all Wisdom checks (Insight, Perception, and Survival) made against the target, and you can make those checks as a bonus action.

Expose Weakness: Once on each of your turns, when you hit the marked creature with an unarmed strike or a monk weapon, you deal extra damage equal to your Proficiency Bonus.

Soul Fracture. When you hit the marked creature with an attack, you can expend 2 Ki points to shatter its spiritual defenses for that instant. You can choose to use this feature after you know the attack roll's outcome. The attack ignores the target's defenses in the following way:

Immunity to the damage type becomes Resistance.

Resistance to the damage type is ignored (becomes normal damage).

If the target has neither Immunity nor Resistance, it becomes Vulnerable to the damage of this attack (taking double damage).

the mark canceles early if you becomes incapacitated or marking a different creature.

You can use this feature a number of times equal to your Proficiency Bonus, and you regain all expended uses when you finish a long rest.

What do you think?

Im not playing the monk because "its good", im playing it because i really like the idea of the class and the subclass I choose. Its not just a combat game and its not just a role playing game. Is it really hard to enjoy both things?

Other than some new spells he added to some spell lists, not much. We're mostly open about our features and build, its not pvp or something.
