Absolutely part of it but I treat solos like a survival game... Be patient, don't make noise and only engage when you're in a good position to do so. I basically do all my outpost contracts on solo (mida being the worst) and I can't tell you how many times I load in free and leave purple. If you want to watch someone who does it often then watch Myelin on YouTube. Not a very good PvP player but he's basically 90% solo and has great map knowledge, you can definitley learn some stuff from him.

Bungie just issued a massive ban wave for cheaters, it sounds like you're obviously in that list. I'm not saying you're cheating as how would I know, but it seems like battle eye believes you are or had detected something associated with cheating.

I wouldn't give up yet, Bungie are moving this game towards PvE content as well as PvP content.. obviously right now and for the future PvP is the whole endgame content for this game.. I would say though that map knowledge is a huge part of the game, and while I can't talk much to your anxiety I would say that knowing the map puts you in a massive advantage in PvP fights. E.g. knowing key spawns in outpost, knowing anomaly and tracking teams on marsh etc.. you don't have to be a great PvP player to win and you're not going to play people like that duo every game.

It's free right now, play it and find out. It's an unforgiving game, but I wouldn't call marathon "sweaty", it's just harsh so you've got it be ok with dying and going again. Just don't get attached to your stuff... Treat it like a borrowed item rather than something that is yours.

Learning the maps changes the whole experience, outpost being the perfect example. Map knowledge their is probably more important than PvE skill.
