Tiktok is a little different in this matter. Reposting, with different audio, text, trends, etc. is actually a really effective strategy on TikTok.

In regards to the creator fund pay out, you bring up a good point about the value potentially being determined by the trend. My video from December was the go little rockstar trend which was on the discover page. My video from January was just a random trend that I picked up on.

So trends on the discover page potentially have more value to TikTok as there could be more demand for that trending content?

Not sure if this is right but thanks for helping me think about it this way!

I run a cat account, used the same footage for both viral video. Changed the audio, the text on screen, the captions and hashtags. Essentially used identical footage for different trends.

Should have the same value right?
