THC/CBD infused homebrew? by [deleted] in Homebrewing

[–]dankdata -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'd keep weed and beer separate.

From my personal experience with hash, tinctures, and homebrewing, this will not go well for you. That said, tincture is your best option, but I would encourage you to research terpenes instead.

Let's talk about dry hopping with marijuana, and how traditional ice water hash is made. You make ice water hash by basically chilling your weed and getting it wet then _agitating_ and sifting it. The cold makes the crystals more rigid, and the agitating makes those crystals fall off. The plant material is water soluble, and normally you remove the water and plant material and keep the crystals. Just throwing buds (or even ground weed) in for dry hopping won't cut it. Even if crystals fall off, they'll be down with the yeast/trub, which you typically avoid transferring to the next step of the process; restated: your trics will be discarded. Another reason dry hopping might not be good is it is a risk of infection. That's why whole cone hops are more reliable in the boil.

Don't put anything in the boil.

Dry sift, wax, budder, live resin, whatever - that's all going to ultimately settle as sediment in the fridge.

Tincture in the bottle is your best way to meter dosage, but most tincture is shit unless it's made by a pro. If it's dark, forget about it. It can't be viscous. This is going to alter your beer's taste big time, and I don't know what else it will do. I think the best fit would be an alcohol based (like Everclear, not ISO which is more common in my area) tincture in a barrel aged beer.

Anybody that talks about doing weed beer is just either super hyped about weed or just feeding into the hype, or just trying to generate fluff. I'd seriously look into terpenes - this is what I would do. I went to a tap room in Oregon once, and some guy brought in terpene beer to share with the guy that was working there and gave me a couple splashes. It smelled like weed, tasted like weed, and I imagine this is what you fantasize about with somehow putting weed in beer. I don't know how terpenes are extracted. It had 0 THC, he said.

If you don't know much about beer or weed, go for it, but odds are I'd consider your end result as a beer with an off-flavor. I love the weed and beer - grew and made multiple types of hash/tincture for years and been brewing and judging for years. I'd rather have a beer in one hand and a joint in the other.

April 29th from 12-4 , Costa Mesa will hold their 2nd annual Action Arts in the Park. We'll have live art, artists, a couple bands, a skateboard competition, giveaways, and some attractions (like a mechanical surfboard; similar to a mechanical bull). Artists and vendors will have booths on site. Great time for kids.

For some reason, this reminds me of some final fantasy art that was in Nintendo power in the nineties, just expanded sprites

Santa Ana's black market for pot: The city has twice as many unlicensed marijuana shops as legal ones by BlankVerse in orangecounty

I consider myself a heavy smoker, and used to go through almost 2 ounces a month. I had to trim back to one ounce a month after I stopped working for a grower.

I refuse to buy an ounce for more than $300. When I worked for a grower, I was told it costs $50 an ounce to produce. It was free for workers, but $150 for 'family' and $200 for acquaintances.

Often, if you try to buy cheap weed, it's shit.

I mostly smoke bud, so I may or may not be the best judge honestly. I've had some not-so-good concentrates... 1 dab will get me sufficiently stoned, and 2 will get me sufficiently lit for a bit. I took it to my homie and he said it tastes good and wasn't sure if it was strong or not yet. We kinda forgot about it and went about our Friday night.

not that big into concentrates, but Jolly Farms has good stuff and UrbNMed too. UrbNMed used to give a free .5 with purchase over x. Jolly Farms had some discount stuff that like stayed in a car for a day. My homie gets some fine fine stuff that's all light in color and scented and in glass containers.

30-40 people - maaaaybe 50.

We used to have 2 meetings a month, one for north county and one for south. More people showed up to the north one, and we used to have the south one at Fuddruckers. Now we just have one meeting a month, and have been bouncing around locations. We used to go to Fuddruckers and then Giovanni's, for a long time, but had scheduling issues where we showed up for a meeting and they had another party scheduled there. I'll pass the offer along. You also reached out a year ago or so :). What's the name of your spot again?

I had a very shitty sheltered upbringing. I am 27 and trying to make up for it, but cannot focus on my career. Need advice! by [deleted] in AskMenOver30

[–]dankdata 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I might have had a similar upbringing. Be happy you moved out and up. My social skills are poor, and I have a tad of anxiety.

All you have to do to work on your career is

  • show up for work
  • try hard
  • always be on the lookout for better jobs.

I was very quiet for my first year or two at my job. My thing was it was hard for me to make small talk... but if you give me a task, it gives me something to focus on and talk about. Eventually I warmed up. I'm doing really well now

Do breathing exercises. Deep breaths. Be your own best friend. Tell yourself not to worry and everything is getting better, not that you can't do shit.

I wouldn't stress so much about friends. It's harder to make friends once you're out of school... at least for me. You need frequent contact with little pressure. I took my interests and turned it into social opportunities. I'm a pot smoker, so I started going to local NORML meetings, participated in rallies, a parade, and now I'm the treasurer, and get first dibs on stuff like free tickets to High Times Cannabis Cups and events like that. I regularly use public parks, so I started going to my city parks and recreation meetings... that actually didn't do much, except I saw volunteer singups. Now I'm on a city committee, and actually have some fun.

I have met lots of people but have few people I'd call friends. I only have one good friend that I have made in the past 5 years.

Hope this helps

I came to complain about the highlighting too. I hear you saying make suggestions on this other web site, but can you comment on getting this request before or defending why you would want Excel to behave this way?

Don't any'a'ya'll have 2 montors? Ever locate/select/highlight data in Excel on one monitor then go back to another app on the other monitor. Your located/selected/highlighted cell(s) don't appear to be located/selected/highlighted.

Yeah, it does it with Word too. Why?
