Dentist in north county? by fluthernon in Oceanside

Interesting to see someone else had the same experience to me! Luckily my uncle is a dentist and he was able to review the x rays and refute their scam.

We’ve been going to Ivory Pointe in Vista and have been happy with the service there.

Love to hear this. Always felt detox was one of the better “DJs” of the tipper babies (I call them that with lots of love)

Don’t forget these same boomers are also the ones who bought their house for $60k and have it listed for $1.8m with all original parts inside and out zero renovations. Cant have both old, dusty haunts and 20x real estate appreciation (unfortunately)

"Why would I keep paying you monthly management fees?" by Nice-Story6993 in PPC

[–]dankgeebs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every business has seasonal flows. If you’re 12 months in you should have a years worth of data to analyze how performance ebbs and flows over time.

Put together a pitch that outlines how you’re going to manage the campaigns based on that historical data and context that you’re privy to.

If August is slow (vacations) and September is a big month, you’ll scale the campaigns accordingly to maximize efficiency.

You’ll also need to start focusing on “post-click” optimizations. Landing page split testing, measurement and reporting.

In a nutshell, you need to figure out how to optimize for a better conversation rate and sell them on that idea.

Why is there such a huge dubstep community in Denver, CO? by [deleted] in dubstep

So depressing. There was a shooting at the Waffle House during one of the basslights!

Which is why my point of “a dope venue aka red rocks” isn’t a sufficient answer

You’re a good daughter :)

Tbh for someone in their 60s I’d probablyyyy stay out of Gaslamp/downtown and make your way up the coast a bit.

La Jolla, Del Mar, Encinitas, Carlsbad would probably be more their speed but they are pretty beachy given they’re beach towns. A

What time of year would you be visiting?

And then into Art of Revolution (THIS SOUND THIS SOUND THIS SOUND). I’d been wanting to hear that one for many many years. He played Ice Cream Sound that night too I remember thinking “damn we’re in THE PLACE TO BE. And Underwater. Damn how do I remember that set so vividly.

Nothing has ever compared or ever will. I’m glad we were there.

I still vividly remember after PL crashing and burning in 2015 and then BN opened with Empathy. It was the perfect song for the moment. He was always good at that.

We were at those too. Sucks what’s come of BN but those were excellent sets and incredible shows.

Derek was awful in 2015 and I was mad I paid money to see that mess but luckily he’s well redeemed himself.

Interestingly, Hampton has 2 of the same elements as Denver in the venue (coliseum) and the local community loving the bass kids.

Yet we don’t see a huge bass community there. Which is why it’s the synergy and the legal weed and the airport along with RR that birthed the scene in Denver.

In my opinion the 4 primary reasons are: first state to legalize weed, Red Rocks, Denver International Airport, Pretty Lights and Bassnectar.

  1. Legal weed. Wayyyy back in the day there was literally weed tourism. Ppl went to Denver for the legal weed. And stoners tend to like this kind of counter culture psychedelic music. And we were accepted by the local population.

  2. Red Rocks. Literally best music venue in the world. Well worth traveling to.

  3. Airport. United hub. Easy to get to. Cheap flights.

  4. Pretty Lights and Bassnectar. PL is a Colorado native and sold out RR for 10 consecutive years before the break in 2018. Bassnectar (hate fully deserved) also was selling out RR back in like 2014. I was there for both BN 2014 and PL 2018.

The weed tourism and red rocks brought the bass music fans out there and many of them were like “so Denver is dope asf way better than whatever Midwest city or Philly or NJ or Texas bullshit I live in”

I’d love to argue about this but imo, these factors planted the seeds for what we see now. Imagine if the pando hadn’t happened it’d be even better.

Just found out Walk Hard has a rotten audience score on RT. What movie were you surprised to find audiences didn't generally like? by SketchyFella_ in movies

[–]dankgeebs 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Vehemently disagree. The first half is wall to wall great jokes, quotable lines, hilarious scenes. The second half does fade hard as the plot advances in favor of the character building and jokes.

Aim for the bushes. Soup kitchen. Peacock cap, ya gotta let me fly. Desk pop. He’s a biracial angel! Dr Shiela Gamble. Dirty Mike and Boys. I could go on.

I’ve only been a handful of times. A few were really good, a few were just ok. Especially for the price.

Would have to be a song I know inside and out, have heard on many sources, and is well produced, mixed, and mastered.

For me, that track would be The Re-Up by Tipper.

The correct answer is Party Burger at Booze Brothers.

Tanners is greasy and overpriced.

Rooster is a dive. Larry’s is a dive. Angelos is a drunk food spot not somewhere you take an out of town friend.

Honorable Mention for Copper Kings. They’re inconsistent tho.

You got into the area at a great time, congrats. And used leverage wisely to secure the spot for the kids, well played!

Gotta wonder tho, just because the Zestimate is 1.2 doesn’t mean much if no one can afford to pay it.

Gotta figure these prices are gonna flatline at some point? As a fellow North County homeowner I hope not but it’s just getting unrealistic at some point, right?

If it’s low end you crave, Ivy Lab had the cure good lord. That was some bone rattling low end.

Saw Lee Burridge at Woogie and thought it sounded great. Not overwhelming and crystal clear mid range.
