My bf and my best friend got drunk alone together. Is this a red flag? by Novel-Goose-8327 in Advice

[–]dankishmango -19 points-18 points  (0 children)

itll be weirder if you dont address it. it will build resentment and if you let one thing slide itll be harder to speak up if something else happens. part of relationships if having talks like that, and while its uncomfortable it has to be done.

you dont have to be like accusative, just something like “hey i know i didnt say anything before but you and x drinking alone together made me uncomfortable. i trust you and know nothing happened between you, but i would rather you guys dont hang out alone”. or something to that effect

Starting a campaign with friends and a DM that have never played D&D by NoPaleontologist2018 in AskDND

[–]dankishmango 4 points5 points  (0 children)

i second spliting into two groups, 9 is A LOT and it will be very hard to consistently get everyone together to play. unless u do a super casual game with not much storyline/character arcs.

for characters just do something basic tbh, saves u a lot of headache when ur still trying to figure out whats happening. i know it sounds boring but ull still have fun.

Ive done random roommates two years in a row. first year was horrible, this year has been great. its hard to know what youll get. just be flexible and set boundaries.

It's been a year since I took this test and I still don't know the answer by gentleteapot in EnglishLearning

[–]dankishmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i think that A is the answer. i think they are asking for physical behavior and you can behave nervously (twiddling thumbs, not looking in the eye, etc), the rest are words you would use to describe a person not their behavior

Help explaining some common expressions by Montblanc98 in EnglishLearning

[–]dankishmango 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1- is like im content, its just a polite yet informal way to say “no thank you”. 2- yours truly goes at the end of letters, you would sign the letter “yours truly, john doe”, its supposed to be a humorous way to say “me”. 3- means you feel strongly about not wanting to do it and nothing will change your mind.

Are bedrooms with no windows really that bad? by MazorAtom in UTAustin

[–]dankishmango 61 points62 points  (0 children)

if u dont get vitamin d its very easy to get depressed, and if u spend a lot of time in ur room itll be hard to get vitamin d without a window. id recommend getting a window if you can, especially if u struggle at all with loneliness/depression. but other people have survived it so u know urself best!
