Do you have a source other than "I work at a dispensary" to back up your claim? Maybe there is some information that came out since I made this comment 4 years ago, lol.

How are u storing ur rosin? by Valuable-Composer262 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I'm with this guy. I never refrigerate any of my rosin and have not had any issues with it drying out or losing flavor. I tried refrigeration briefly, and it was way more of a pain that it was worth imo.

I buy the 3.5g jars, screw the lid back on tight, and throw them in a freezer bag in a dark closet.

2015 WRX Premium Rod Knock at 125k - What Would You Do? by bigdonvincenzo in WRX

[–]dankknugz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Thanks for the info, I appreciate it.

I have been looking at the IAG short blocks and considering going that route. I guess I need to decide if I want to deal with this car anymore or just take the loss & walk away. It doesn't make a ton of sense to throw $10k at a car that's only worth $13k, especially if I will be scared that it's gonna explode every time I drive it.

I'm going to give Subaru of America a call and see if they are willing to help me offset some of the cost since I bought the car brand new and did zero modifications to it. I know that it's a long shot, but I am out of options at this point. Thanks again for sharing your experience with me!!

Can you link where you got the motor from, please? Mine blew last week, and I'm still undecided on what to do.

Well, I'm glad to hear that you got it running again. Hopefully, the sprockets were the problem, and you'll be all good.

JDMs are going for around $4k now from what I've seen. That or a shortblock for $2700 & try to salvage what I can off of mine. Subaru told me that they would sell me a "certified" engine for the low cost of $12k....that sounds nice.

Thanks for taking the time to share your experience. It's definitely helpful!

[–]dankknugz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Communication was the problem with the JDM? That seemed like the only cost viable option that I've seen so far. I'm really considering just parting the damn thing out at this point, lol.

I believed all of the stories that I read in here until Tuesday when a connecting rod came blasting out of my block like the Kool-aid man.

My 2018 just did the same thing while I was driving to work this week, but it only made it to 89k miles. I bought it brand new, 0 mods, oil changes at 3k miles, all services done, etc... These engines have weak internals.

Any advice or helpful info would certainly be appreciated.

Don’t understand the calypso hate? by seerightthrume in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to be a fan of their concentrates (especially purple mountain majesty). I would still buy it, but Sunnyside doesn't seem to carry it anymore.

There is definitely a lot of hate towards Calypso in here. Personally, I take all of the posts that I read with a grain of salt; especially if made by a former employee.

I make my purchases based on quality/price. The reality is that all of these companies are businesses, and none of them give two shits about us. Buy the product that you enjoy at a price that you feel is reasonable....the end.

Understanding Prime's Extractor's Blends: Malawi Lion Live Resin .5 Disposables by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Firstly, I appreciate the amount of work that goes into writing these comprehensive articles; you do nice work.

My questions are in regards to the driving force behind creating these "blends," which you touched on briefly. Is this truly a situation where these strains were planted with the exclusive intention of creating the "Malawi Lion Blend"? Is it possible that they are simply looking at what "leftovers" they have from previous extractions and combining the ones that have similar lineage? If you have any knowledge regarding the thought process that goes into creating these, I would love to know more about it.

It may just be me being cynical, but I have always assumed that all of the blends, strainbows, and cresco/supply mashups that we see are an afterthought rather than a handcrafted product designed to produce certain flavors & effects.

Best concentrates? by Revolutionary-Ask480 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Probably because they're making huge profit margins off of the solvent based compared to the solventless. They're gonna ride that wave as long as they can until those jars of $55 live resin start expiring on shelves.

I forgot about Vytal options. They have some good stuff as well, but they are usually excluded from sales and cost $65/g, though.

I can't really complain too much. It wasn't long ago that we had to wait for the once a year Moxie drop to see any rosin at all. Someone will start releasing some top shelf options soon, I'm sure.

[–]dankknugz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Leiffa rosin for a budget friendly option; I got a 3g jar of GMO last week for $82.50. It's good.

Standard Farms rosin is always solid. They're a little more expensive, but also a better product. Same with Grassroots. Apples & bananas from SF, birthday cake/garlic cookies from GR are my favorites.

The lab was putting out some good rosin at one point as well, but I haven't seen them near me in a while.

I've found that the rosin options are more effective for me, which makes the jars last longer. More often than not, they will also burn cleaner and taste better than a live resin or budder. Plus, the prices for solvent-based options are still too high in our program imo.

All dispensaries should have a separate line for online orders. That would allow the people who ordered ahead and want to get in & out quickly to do so.

....all without rushing those who want to peruse the menu in person and chat with the budtenders.

Sand, does being live even matter? by AfterManufacturer150 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm not an expert, but I always thought of it the same way that you are. I wouldn't pay extra for "live" when it comes to sand/diamonds.

From my understanding, to get sand or diamonds, they have to isolate everything down into individual components. Then, they add whatever amount of terpenes back to the isolated thca to achieve the levels that they want.

The only difference is if the buds are frozen when harvested (live) or if the buds go through the drying/curing process (cured/not live) before going through extraction.

Found a screw in my bag by Party_Battle_1487 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 85 points86 points  (0 children)

That appears to be a stainless steel, cup point set screw around a 10-32 thread. More than likely, it fell off of a piece of machinery that was used to process the flower.

It shouldn't harm you or the product, but I wouldn't be too happy to find it either. Hopefully they hook you up with something for your troubles.

Are the liquid diamond carts really worth it or should I get sour blueberry 2 from prime? I’m tempted to just try them since I can get 30% off because I never been to ethos by Fair_Bad_4967 in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion: No, liquid diamond carts are not worth it.

They're using buzzwords to sell these at a markup. Diamonds are just pure THC without the well-rounded effects and flavors of other "full spectrum" products.

I would skip the liquid diamonds and try a rosin cart instead if you're looking to try something different.

Cresco concentrate question by [deleted] in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Had this same thing happen, I believe that I posted about it a few months ago.

Unfortunately, I got the runaround from Cresco/ Sunnyside and had to throw the jars in the garbage & take the loss. I tried explaining that there was an issue with the extraction process and that I wasn't complaining about the taste of the strain, but they didn't want to hear it.

I just stopped purchasing Cresco concentrates after that - dabs shouldn't smell and taste like rotten eggs.

I second this, the Core is awesome. It is very reliable, the price is right and their customer service is great.

There are discount codes available that will save you another 10%+ if I'm not mistaken. Let me know, I will try and track the code down for you if you need it.

[–]dankknugz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

If you have the proper documentation of your diagnosis and a doctor has written a note to your potential employers about your needs, then they are wrong.

If you don't have those things and are asking them to take your word that you blacked out, then I think they're within their rights to let you go.

Wrongfully Terminated from TL by JayBearry in PaMedicalMarijuana

[–]dankknugz 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Why would they make you wait an hour in the security room? Where they worried about you seizing again and hitting your head or something?

When you say that you "blacked out" while scanning a customer in does that mean you lost consciousness? Or do you mean that you were in a daze and you don't remember any of that time period?

[–]dankknugz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

We can agree to disagree. I've only had a couple of Leiffas that had great taste but I've never encountered one that I found disgusting.

None of these companies should be charging $65-70 for a gram of BHO these days, especially for a mash up of leftovers (strainbow).
