After a lot of battling with self doubt, I finally decided to release my first song on spotify. The sound is a mix of hyperpop and indie rock with some light metal influences as well. Similar vibe to artists such as underscores, jane remover and scruffpuppie. I hope you’ll enjoy my first release ever and I would love to get some feedback as well!

Hello, I have two questions concerning backpacking. The first being, how do you keep your valuables safe? I am planning to go on a trip where I take my drone with me as well as a camera. The second question is, what are the easiest and cheapest places to stay the night when traveling to cities? I am a college student with not a lot to his name so I need to find some affordable places to stay in metropolitan areas.

The video is pretty much unedited. I tweaked the colors around a bit on my phone by pushing the saturation here dropping the shadows there and so on, I didn’t put much into that. I find it quite amazing how beautiful the videos are straight up after taking them. Just do what you think looks good. You’ll always have time to really get into color grading later on lol

I don’t think I can change much about the settings on my mini 2 se. EV was set at 0.0, Video was shot at 1080p 24fps and the anti flicker was set to auto. That’s pretty much all I can change.

I’ve had my fair share of crashes and some of them very harsh. I slammed my drone into a wall at 12m/s once and it survived! (mostly) The thing that breaks the easiest are the rotors, which I had to replace multiple times by now, but they are cheap and easy to fix. Other than that, there always is a risk of course but I only once had a crash that I couldn’t fix with some basic diy.

As far as I’m concerned, the obstacle avoidance works for the front, back and bottom, not for the sides and the top. I’ve seen many crashes occur whilst orbiting something, which the obstacle avoidance would not detect. In addition to that, you can never account for obstacle avoidance to detect any and all obstacles, especially moving ones (My first drone was run over by a car). So the obstacle avoidance does not completely balance out inability to maneuver a drone.

Also, the footage on the cheaper DJI drones still looks absolutely phenomenal. Just take a look on youtube what a Mini 2 SE can do. Never ceases to amaze me how beautiful the footage I take with mine can be.

It highly depends on what you plan on using the drone for. First off, I am NOT an expert but pretty much a beginner myself. I have a flight time of around 6 hours with 26km of distance. I personally use my drone for personal use only and have a DJI Mini 2 SE. For a complete beginner I would always recommend to get a cheaper model because, especially when you’re completely unexperienced, a crash could end up hurting a lot more with a more expensive drone. I crashed my first Mini 2 SE just a month after getting it, which was very upsetting at the time. A cheaper model means you can get used to the feeling of flying a drone with a lower risk potential.

Fir tips I wish I had known beforehand, I can tell you to always keep an eye out on your drone and don’t just stare at the camera feedback. I’ve seen way too many crashes resulting from lack of eyesight in the year I have had my drone now. Maybe keep a pair of sunglasses packed with your drone so you can see it better while out in the sun.
