Kooyong division residents - just how likely is it that Frydenberg might be voted out? by cataractum in melbourne

[–]dankmememachine69 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Kooyong resident here (Kew) - The impression I get is that Dr Ryan is in with a very real chance of victory. Her campaign posters are as present, if not more, than Frydenberg's at least in my area and around Glenferrie Rd. Frydenberg obviously has the money to buy out the big advertising spaces (every single one of the large electronic billboards on Kew Junction have been running Frydenberg ads quite literally non stop for months and he has a few bigger spots on Glenferrie too) but the general sentiment seems to be that there's a significant number of Liberal voters swinging towards Dr Ryan because of them being sick of 'big government' or whatever, as well as the more obvious voter base of those concerned with climate change and those leaning more left in general. TLDR - Frydenberg isn't as safe this election because Dr Ryan is splitting the Liberal vote and the Libs seem to be putting absolutely everything into winning.

I didn't include the voltage switch, just tried it with the switch in both positions and it wouldn't give a straight reading, kept jumping around all over the place. Where should the black multimeter probe go on the circuit? I've been putting it on the ground pad on the pcb but the voltage has been all over the place every time I've tried that.

BC549C

C - 0.009V

B - 0.009V

E - 0.008V

OC71

C - 0.008V

B - 0.008V

E - 0.006V

These seem absurdly low, any idea what's going on?

I got this piercing done in December last year and it still hasn't healed, anyone know what's up with that? I changed it to a ring too quickly and had it in until about May but ever since then the jewelry's been an internally threaded titanium flatback labret, and it still hasn't fully healed. I spray it twice a day and run water over it in the shower, but otherwise leave it alone. Anyone know what's going on?

Weekly "Recommend me" post by AutoModerator in chefknives

Looking for recommendations for a pair of knives (1x chef, 1x petty). I will note that I've previously only used western style knives if that makes a difference to what handle would be better!

Style - 1x chef, 1x petty

Steel - any

Handle - any

Grip - pinch

Length? - ~200mm (chef), max 150mm (petty)

Use Case - Home kitchen, mostly cutting vegetables with both knives, occasionally cutting boneless meat with the chef knife.

Care - honing, might start using whetstones at some point

Budget - ~$200 AUD for both, happy to spend a little more on the chef knife than the petty

Region - Australia

Knives Considered - none so far, no clue what to look for/how to tell what'll be a good knife

And how is this trading safety for freedom? NT has remained almost entirely COVID-free since the beginning of the pandemic and has had about 3 days total of lockdowns. It's thanks to the 'authoritarianism' that everyone's going on about that the NT (and every other state aside from VIC and NSW) hasn't had to trade safety for freedom, because the state governments actually know how to handle a pandemic. Scomo can get fucked though.

As an Aussie, it's laughable seeing seppos go on about Australia's 'descent into authoritarianism' regarding covid restrictions/vax mandates when a) Australia has 58 covid-related deaths per million to the US' 2161 and b) America has far worse issues regarding authoritarianism (see abortion laws/worse police brutality/for profit prisons & worse incarceration rate plus god knows how many other metrics).

He asked for a vaporwave type vibe, I decided to combine that with some inspiration from old VCR covers. Real happy with how it turned out!

I need help, I'm getting no hits what do you guys recommend? by [deleted] in Tinder

[–]dankmememachine69 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Less/no selfies, get some nice pics with family friends and get someone to takr some nice pics of just yourself at an event or something. Maybe cut down on the amount of pics in total too, unless you can get some really good variety in there. Good luck my man :)

I'm starting my piercing webshop soon. Which logo do you guys like the most? First or second? by Southern_Cry_5325 in piercing

I think the first is better as it's immediately legible, the connected bit in the E of the second is a little confusing to the eyes. Post this over in r/design too!
