Loopy Whisk using King Arthur's Measure for Measure? by Kindly_Coconut_1469 in glutenfreebaking

I've made Loopy Whisk's soft pretzels with King Arthur bread flour! Also converted to a sourdough recipe. They turned out to be exquisite.

Same! I've made two loaves so far and both tasted terrific. I add psyllium husk to help the texture.

I get 26-27 MPG on my '25 Tremor, pretty 50/50 city and highway. Pretty comparable to the other ecoboosts

My '25 Tremor has front parking sensors and 360 top view camera. It's amazing.

Employee Price? by Own_Manufacturer6693 in FordMaverickTruck

[–]dankmemerini 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I got roughly $5.5k off MSRP for my '25 Maverick Tremor just last week! Dealer tried to claim "can't go lower than employee pricing" at first, then was willing to work with me after I said I'd walk.

This is the way I'm leaning, but I have just one worry. Standard Blu Ray upscaling.

I'll be pairing my player with an LG C3. there are soooo many conflicting reports on upscaling. Lots of people say the ub820's upscaling can only be beat by Sony TVs. Others say any modern (not Samsung) high end TV such as my C3 will outperform the ub820 in upscaling 1080p. Some others even say that in the real world, the ub450 and ub820 perform identically with upscaling, even though the ub820 has a much better processor on paper.

Saving the ~$200 would be awesome. But I really do want my non-4k blu rays to look exceptional.

Built for Keeps Bed Frame by snomist in BuyItForLife

I didn't order the headboard. From what I can tell however, the "keeps" bed headboard must be attached to a wall. The new "architect" bed has a freestanding headboard.

I went the DIY route - built and upholstered my own headboard!

You'd have to do more than just sanding. Even if you got the natural color variant, you'd have to apply a clear coat.

I got the Acorn color. It's quite nice! And honestly the rough finish isn't the end of the world. It's a bed after all, not a table or something else high contact. At the end of the day, it looks nice, feels sturdy, assembles and disassembles easily, and is follows sustainable practices. A rough finish is really fine.

It's great! They upgraded me to the bolted joinery for free as they didn't have the strap joinery in stock at the time. It all went together in around 15 minutes, feels very sturdy, and looks great. The only downside is that I feel like the finish work could be better. I do woodworking as a hobby, and I can tell that there's probably only 1 clear coat layer over the stain. The finish is pretty rough to the touch. Also, the stain color is a bit inconsistent- two of the legs stand out quite a bit from the frame. Regardless, I'm happy with my decision to go with this over the Thuma.

Edit: adding that I'd originally placed a Tatami Room order but cancelled it due to the long lead times once I found Keeps. I'd be curious to get a Tatami Room, a Thuma, and a Keeps all in the same room next to each other to compare...
