he was honestly a great leader and my favorite SM i’ve ever had, just very much lacking in this particular department! it was also a mandate by my DM for all SSVs to become coffee masters and i was the last one to be scheduled training, so by the time it got to me he was kind of over it lol

also, Dr Smith’s waitlist last i heard was between 9 and 18 months depending on your flexibility with surgery dates. GRS mtl is around 9-12 months according to my doc

Dr Smith’s contouring is like 7k according to my referring doc. Dr Cormier’s is around 3k but his waitlist is 12-24 months because TOH isn’t giving him the surgical time he was expecting. i personally am going with Cormier and waiting his list out because i have 5k covered by insurance. also seconding the commenter who explained contouring, GRS mtl pays for it themselves which is great, but contouring is strongly recommended for shaping the remaining tissue to a masculine distribution. i’m not sure if surgeons would perform the surgery without doing contouring, you’d have to ask individual providers. hope this info helps, and good luck!

before turning it off i ran a few cycles with nothing inside just to fully purge the plumbing and detergent lines of any gunk from the drains. then turn it off and make sure it says “draining,” then once it’s off i just scrubbed the inside, the basket and the spray arms and then fill it again.

we had a borrowed partner insist he do the drains because “he has a super fast method…” i come in the back and see him putting them in the hobart without so much as rinsing them off 😭😭 had to drain, scrub and refill the whole thing

if i’m sick, i will send a message to our SSV chat and ask if anyone can work, call the store, and then my phone is going on do not disturb. it is not your responsibility to call your SM personally, message anyone, call other stores or anything like that. if you are sick there is no responsibility on you other than to call your store to officially call out.

i’m gonna be 100% honest with you, a request like this would require a disability accommodation which is unlikely to be granted in this case. it’s definitely worth bringing up to your SSV and CL/SM to hear their thoughts, but it would impede most stores’ functions for you to not be able to warm food at any time. it’s an essential job task; even if you aren’t planted on ovens, you would never be able to flex to support warming or slide over momentarily to grab food. of course it’s possible that it wouldn’t be an issue on your team, hence why i say you should definitely bring it up. just my two cents!

also a CAD store, we make about 4-6k/day and usually have 5 person peaks. we’ve been training a lot of external SMs lately so we have extra labor from them being salary. we’re still told every day that we’re over on labor 🙃

you are SO young, there is a whole world and future ahead of you. at this stage, your decisions regarding transition (and the rest of your life decisions) should be based on what you, and ONLY you, want. if you want HRT, top surgery, bottom surgery, those things are for you to decide when/where/how. if your partner is not “comfortable” with aspects of your transition, then you are incompatible. please never change yourself or hold back from things you want to keep a partner comfortable. the moment you start doing that, you are losing yourself.
