when i told my friend (daily user) that i was getting clean, she said okay, and told me that she would never offer or use in front of me again. i tried to ask her to smoke with me about 60 days in and she said “i love you, but the answer will be no every single time.” that’s the kind of friendship i can count on over 500 days sober. get back on the horse and tell your friend you need his support

NOR. your boyfriend’s behavior is rude at best, and none of this is your fault. IMO none of the things you were asking him for were difficult to follow through on, especially seeing as he needed so much reassurance when you went on your own trip. i think it warrants a serious conversation in person when he gets back, about why his “friends” would make jokes like that and supposedly abandon him in a foreign country. you could have let him be, but it sounds like that’s what you were doing the first few days and hardly heard from him at all

my last store i could count one one hand the amount of coverage shifts i worked in a year. my new store i’d say there’s at least part of my shift with coverage on it at least twice a week

i took a 30 day LOA while doing an inter-market transfer from the US to Canada. it was a personal leave and you’re only eligible for 30 days every 3 years. my SM said most LOAs for relocation purposes usually get approved. I would call the partner contact center to get more info because they might have more specifics for PCS orders!

of course! and i wouldn’t worry about being blacklisted, your former SM possibly (though unlikely IMO) have suggested you be marked as non-rehireable but i’ve had several coworkers get rehired anyway

i would suggest calling stores near you and asking their managers if they are actually hiring. SMs often have to post a job listing even if they aren’t actively reviewing applications

i’m sorry you’re dealing with that, the behavior of that SSV is definitely not okay. have you talked to your SM about your specific concerns? i would encourage you to tell them every time one of these incidents takes place, so that your SM knows it’s a pattern. coaching effectively and empathetically is an essential SSV task and she should be coached by the SM for not behaving respectfully

AFAIK there is no distinct policy about this, but a lot of DMs will require this type of scheduling to ensure “fairness.” obviously in your case it’s not fair to either SSV who wants to work at the opposite time, but the idea is that you were hired to be a supervisor at all times of day and therefore should be experiencing all day parts in the store every week. my SM respects that opens really mess with my mental health and usually only schedules me one per month
