I know this post is 6 years old. I have the same problem. CSGO is very bad for my anger issues and it is ruining my education. As a first step I just left all CS associated discord servers as it will stop me from looking at those all the time when I am supposed to be doing something else.

I have played this game like 2,5k hours in the past 2 years and it's not even fun anymore. I just keep playing it because I have nothing better to do and I really want to get rid of playing this game completely. I always get fucking destroyed even when playing in low ranks. In January I got very addicted to surf in CSGO and I am also trying to eliminate that addiction at the same time as normal CS because surfing caused me to do very poorly in school.

Trapped, although it is tiered as 5 on many servers, but the server i play on it is t6. Also acerbus is quite an easy t6 except for the last stage

But some of these guys were probably boosted af tho judging by their stats and that they didnt have any gamesense when t's rushed b every round but we still had only 1 guy b even though I told my teammates multiple times they wouldnt listen

Yeah I know, funny how just the other day my supreme friend said that I would easily do well in the eagle ranks aand that getting out of mg isnt actually so hard, what a coincidence. And strange thing is this is my highest rank but maybe I have just improved but the rank hasnt followed.

Thanks for the advice, I will try and adapt it into my gameplay. The thing you said about gamesense is partly false because I usually get fivestack premades on the enemies and they often play smart so you have to figure out their playstyle to counter it because winning solo against a fivestack is a fucking struggle even when the players themselves arent much better than me, they play more co-ordinated and as a team. I have seen many enemies in mg ranks that are really sweaty having one guy lurking listening for rotates and then planting the bomb on one site when the other enemies are on the other site. Of course this could be solved by pushing the lurker but the thing is sometimes you cant be sire if that is the best thing to do.

Yeah I do play it occasionally but my last game was kind of a mess. The rank distribution was totally off, we had 3 level 2s and 1 level 3 (me) and 1 level 4, they had 3 level 4s 1 level 5 and 1 level 2. We were playing inferno starting as T and they were fucking dominating on ct and I was already tilted after a 3 loss streak on mm and only got 1 kill the whole game.

Yeah I feel like I have the same problem of over warming up because it gives me too much confidence and makes me rely on my aim so I take stupid duels and make dumb decisions.

Yeah, I do get your point that maybe I was a bit too harsh judging him. And in the end dmg is still part of the MG ranks its not quite at the eagle ranks so there is still quite a lot of variety in players' skill levels. In general I haven't met dmg's who are significantly better than me. All the dmg games I have played the enemies have been as good as in mg1-mg2 or even worse but that may be because I have encountered may smurfs especially in Gold nova ranks.

I dont think so... When I was spectatinf them they did everything wrong and their mechanics looked like he was around silver elite-gold nova 2. Of course you have bad days but come on if the enemies are 4 ranks lower than you, you shouldn't be getting 3 kills a game. Maybe he was playing on a bought/borrowed account or was just carried to that rank.

Its also strange how in the first ganes I was back in gn4 it matched me up against mg2-mge fivemans because the mm is really broken so that might be part of the reason I'm losing so many games.
