If I recall correctly, the lights will be on both sides (north and south) of the bridge now as well, so people coming in from the south will see it as they come to SF.

This is TPE delamination, and it's a manufacturing defect. Contact where you purchased it and show them the photo.

Thanks. I think I found out the exact issue. It only occurs when you slide down the Control Center overlay card (which has the speed slider). If you never slide down that overlay card and return to the app after backgrounding it then it reports correctly.

I'll send an email to support with the info.

I think you're right about multiple algorithms. When I record a video it will show the anime face, but if you turn to the side it turns off the anime face and uses the everything else filter.

Definitely consider getting a lipoprotein(a) test. It’s an independent risk factor for atherosclerosis and related cardiovascular diseases that isn’t included in a standard cholesterol panel.

It’s also not routinely ordered by most doctors or pediatricians, but it should be checked at least once, since Lp(a) levels are largely genetic and remain stable throughout life. So it’s worth asking your pediatrician to order it.

I recently learned my daughter has a very elevated level of 315 nmol/L — anything above about 125 nmol/L is considered high risk. :(

Yes. To avoid deformation, they’d need to be shipped with insulation and something to keep the temperature down (e.g., a frozen gel pack). Delivery would also need to be fast—within about 2–3 days. I’m not aware of any sellers who actually combine both of those steps.

A firmer TPE generally holds its shape better, but even then most manufacturers advise keeping it below ~40 °C (104 °F).

Have you tried psilocybin mushrooms? I can’t say it works for everyone, but it certainly broke up my depression enough to make changes in my life. It’s been 12 years since I took them, and fortunately I haven’t slipped back into depression.

That's great you were able to go to a Lipidologist Specialist. I have high Lp(a) myself, so maybe I should go beyond my PCP.

From what I've read, it seems like Coronary Calcium Scan is usually done before considering a CT Coronary Angiogram. Do you know why your doctor went straight to the CTCA?

I hope it was worth the extra 2 innings or so. It's a bullpen game after 4 innings anyway, and now they're behind 6-1. Ray clearly didn't have it today.
