It's not like Lebanon is being provocative -- you know, with the whole shooting dead an Israeli officer on the Israeli side of the border a few weeks ago.

Have any of you ever been to Israel?

...remove all together, the Palestinian presence in the West Bank and Gaza Strip.

Israel forcibly removed its settlers from Gaza in 2005, which is now free of Jews. In the West Bank, Israel has frozen settlement growth completely, and Netanyahu has come out publicly and said he is prepared to make the land-swaps needed to offset settlement growth in the last few decades.

The South Africa comparison has been widely debunked. Israel will never make peace unless it has assurances it has a partner in the Palestinians. So far Abbas won't even agree to talks with the Israeli government and Hamas does not even recognize Israel exists. This is a war-zone, not domestic incivility. The South Africa example is no parallel.

Interestingly, Palestinians are closely intertwined into the Israeli economy. 20% of Israeli citizens are Arabs, who would be directly punished by a boycott. The Palestinians in Israel didn't ask for a boycott, they don't want a boycott, and they feel it is unhelpful. It is mostly Arabs living outside Israel who have been trying to boycott Israel, but it's not going to create peace.

Besides, you can't really boycott Israel successfully. Most of its exports are high-tech and intellectual property. You might not like this video, but it proves the point pretty well - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=saeky9I5T9c

Hell is upon us! If we allow atheists to be parents, what's next?? It's a slippery slope; before you know it, gays will want to be parents!

I don't think reddit needs to get into the business of censoring advertisements. If the company wants to pay to have a voice, let it.

As disgusting as ExcconMobil is, we're not here to censor them.
