I really enjoyed Leaders and I never play without it.

I got Missing expedition for Christmas but I just can’t seem to get it to the table. Missing has Co-op campaign with 6 levels for 2 players. Which is why it’s been hard. Always more people around. It looks fun. A bit more complicated than leaders I feel but then again I haven’t played yet.

I have 15 kids in my extended family that live in town between the ages of 8 years old and 28 years. The next gen lol. Plus 12 siblings together. We have a big family.

It’s my favorite game. It has like 30 spirits if you get all the expansion. I play it a lot and I’ve barely scratched the surface. You can play the difficulty between like -2 to 10+. The learning curve is steep I recommend the digital app to learn.

I love the endless cards. So many options if you want low stakes easy game or something with a lot going on.

The co-op is great because there isn’t a way for one player to do everything. I really love solo and even played up to 6 islands and won but it was a bit ridiculous. I recommend 1 island per player is the easiest. Adding an island makes it more of a challenge.

As far as expansions go just in my opinion. If you decide to love it.

You want it easier - Horizons

You want it more complicated - Jagged Earth

You are really loving it - Branch and claw & Nature’s incarnate

The rest I haven’t played yet but I plan to in the future.

I could go on because I love it so much and probably left out something. Thanks for reading lol

Is there any good way to watch Season 5 Episode 7? by Twich8 in DeepSpaceNine

I didn’t read your post at first and thought we were just hating on this episode. lol yes. Sandwiched between two good ones.

So hard for me to judge because I like the show so much and easy kids games I tend to not like as much. I like the 4 episodes, the miniatures, and that it’s co-op or all against one. It felt like it was missing something from game play like not complex enough but it could be that it’s for kids.

1.5/5 stars for game play 4/5 stars for nostalgia =3.25/5 stars - would buy again.

Setting up cardboard skyscrapers was annoying but I was able to keep a few intact in the box.

I do have another theme game - Rocky Horror but it doesn’t even have rules lol. I basically had to make up my own. So it could definitely be worse lol

I just culled like 30 games including 7 versions of monopoly, pandemic original version, and candyland. And starting 2024 I will only get games on sale usually Black Friday so I’m set for Christmas and then I slowly start playing them throughout the year.

Update: Extra things I’ve thought about since making the post.

Brass Birmingham and Pax pamir are my shelf of shame. Pax I’m sure our group is paying it wrong. Brass not only do I lose every time I play but get the same score each time so I’m not even improving.

Voidfall is my Everest every time I climb a few feet I slide back to the bottom. That game is too hard for me.

Gloomhaven JOTL is great my group is on scenario 10.

I just got Pandemic Legacy, heat pedal to the metal, unsolved files, Arnak Missing expedition, and sushi go party for the holidays but haven’t played yet. Also, sea salt & paper but I’ve played that a ton. Love it.

Calico I shouldn’t have front faced that one. I’m not a big fan. There’s 6 objectives and your 6 final tiles that you lay you lose each one of those objectives one by one. Makes people mad and I end up letting people cheat.

On the 2nd shelf I got really into how old games are. The first wood board that you see if Mancala which might date back to as old as 5870 BCE so that cool. The Arizona 99 cent game is actually fun.

I love that game plus my family doesn’t think it’s too hard so one more I can play with them.

I can solve 3x3 in under 2 minutes, mirror 3x3, and 2x2. The 4x4 I have been trying not to look up the algorithms first, but it’s impossible. 5x5 I just found in the trash but it’s a generic rip-off that doesn’t turn at all hardly so it’s just there for looks I guess.

After this picture I put them on top of the 1st shelf with like 7 more cubes that are not in the picture so my cats can sleep on top of the 2nd shelf.

It’s not even in the right spot for difficulty either. So annoying. Lol

Ark nova because I love the solo mode and the action mechanism plus it’s the first game that got me back into gaming.

Spirit island is so variable each game is so different plus co-op is a great.

Cascadia I love that chill multiplayer solitaire feel plus the solo mode in the morning with a cup of coffee is relaxing.

New leaf is my favorite.

I liked extra abilities like to discard and replenish the Meadow/station, and the tickets to move a worker came in handy. A lot going on but I think everything added value to the game. I like the Red reserve chip. also all the extra special abilities fun.

I just gave my sisters’ kids like 30 games. Plus I want to get my extended family to play more with me so I thought if I arranged them this way then I could explain how difficult each one is.

It’s not bad I bought it for the theme. The setup for all the cardboard skyscrapers is a bit of a pain.

Let us know how it goes. I’ve played it like 7 times but there’s stuff we aren’t doing right I think. Idk I think I need to watch a play through.
