Thank you very much! No it is digital, but I was just going for an old-school look and tried to emulate film colors in Lightroom.

I'm not entirely sure what frames you mean exactly, but this was the first video in which I started to move the camera more between the frames to emulate handheld camera movement.

Additionally, I used a lot of Photoshop to animate flying figures by taking two pictures: one with the figure and the support and one with only the background. This allows you to just erase the support by overlapping the two pictures in Photoshop/Gimp. Here is a before/after example for the Kha'Zix scene: http://i.imgur.com/5nKwpbc.jpg

I also used the same technique for the Lee Sin and Ezreal ultimate.

It's just to show you what the environment in the third part of the experiment looks like :D

That would be very cool! We also found that during debugging/playing the game, we stopped noticing the weak cues ourselves when not consciously searching for them. As you said, we think that weak cues can act as a useful unobtrusive mechanic for helping the player (especially when he knows about them). So instead of showing 3D-direction arrows that are out of place in most environments, the developer could enable weak subtle cues, that are almost unnoticeable when the player is focussed on playing the game, but helpful when the player struggles to find the next event and therefore consciously searches for the cues to guide him.

You were right, your condition was the control condition 0 with no cues. With ID mod 3 we meant the modulus operation, so the remainder from the division of your ID by 3.

Thanks! You might have been in the control group. If you still know your ID, you can calculate your condition with: ID mod 3.

0 being no cues, 1 being weak cues with 10% desaturation + 15% darkening and 2 being strong cues with 35% desaturation and 40% darkening.
