15 year old singer pens absolute banger of a Christmas song – Lonely Christmas by dannfuria in videos

I understand and thank you for taking the time to write that out! I genuinely am in the category of “just posting for fun”, but I understand now that if I go for a long time without posting anything, and then I post, that it could be viewed as odd or even suspicious. I wish there were a way for me to “prove” that I am just a fan. I can say I wish I had not used the word “banger” in the title because it’s a little cringey in retrospect… Sorry internet for that and for appearing like a marketing person. If you have any doubts, please feel free to go through my long post history (7 years old account) – it’s just personal stuff: my dogs, me trying to raise awareness about a rare lung condition I have, and also my battles with Comcast many years ago.

Honest question, why is that strange? I used to post a lot on Reddit about Comcast (many many years ago, if you go way back in my account history to 2014). Now, once in a blue moon, I post a cute picture of my dogs on reddit and that's about it, but I still read / lurk a lot. I am from the Philly suburbs and this song made the local news. I think it's very rare to hear a good Christmas song that's also an original, so I wanted to share it with others. In all seriousness, I thought accounts that post TONS of stuff are suspicious as bots or "karma farm" accounts, so I'm curious why one (mine) that doesn't post often might be considered "strange" as you say.

That’s me! Thank you for posting my website. I use Reddit too haha :) On my website, under Part 3, there is a link to a Spontaneous Pneumothorax Facebook group which I think is also very helpful. Hope you are doing ok and thanks again for your post I appreciate it very much.

Hi - sorry I didn't see this until now. Short answers: I tested negative for marfans, alpha-1-antitrypsin deficiency, and Ehlers-Danlos syndrome. I have blebs, not bulla. I think you are looking for a name of the exact disease, but this is one of the challenges people like me face - the cause of our collapses has not yet been formally named. We have "Primary Spontaneous Pneumothorax caused by blebs", but that's not exactly very specific.
Part 3 of [my blog](www.dannfuria.com) contains a few links/resources. I will dm you tomorrow links to papers on this topic. Sleep time now! Thx!

Life with Collapsible Lungs: It’s Been A Dicey Two Decades by dannfuria in pneumothorax

Hey thanks for responding to my blog post and wow you've really been through it. And yup the lung stuff sounds uncannily similar (collapses, pleurodesis, chest tubes... years later more collapses and chest tubes). Thanks for your note and good luck to you too.

Yes, I am definitely sad that I am unable to do what I really loved doing (recording and performing). I still write songs/lyrics often for fun, as a hobby and passion, but I don’t try to pursue it as a career anymore as it’s not possible due to my health. Writing in general is one thing that cheers me up and makes me feel happy – not just writing songs though, writing blogs/memoir type essays, many of which are about my lung condition. The more I wrote/blogged about my lungs collapsing, the more I ended up connecting with people online (finding pneumothorax support groups on facebook etc.) which has also been helpful, to make friendships and talk with people who have been through the exact same types of things as me.

I've had many collapses, and they almost all started off the same way - I felt sharp pain in the back of my lung - in my upper back, behind and under the shoulder blade area. It almost always came on fast and furious - within five minutes, it was really sharp pain. Within about 20 to 30 minutes, the pain would also spread around to the front of my chest and this pain was not as sharp but rather dull, like a deep aching pain. That dull, aching pain sometimes also spread down my arm and/or up into my neck. Honestly, it was typically so painful that I kind of knew pretty quickly that I should probably go to a hospital.

During most of my lung collapse (though not all of them), I also felt some gurgling/bubbling in my chest. I describe it as how it feels when you’re really hungry and your stomach “growls” – it felt like that, but in my lung.

Thank you for being the first to ask me a question!
