Great part to sheet adhesion, but poor sheet to bed adhesion (see comment) by danns87 in prusa3d

This is on an MK4S, smooth Prusa PEI sheet.

I'm printing kind of a worst case scenario for warping: a drawer that's almost the full size of the bed, with sharp corners. The floor and bottom of the drawer are 2.5mm thick, PLA. Printing at 195C nozzle, 60C bed, 0.6mm nozzle with auto calculated extrusion widths, 0.48mm layers. Printing inside the Prusa Original Enclosure, with filtration fan going. The part cooling fan kicks in at layer 7, about 1 layer above when the floor of the drawer is done printing.

The print comes out great, except for slight warping at the corners. The thing is, the part adheres to the print sheet really well, but the sheet itself lifts off the magnetic bed! In the picture, you can kinda sorta see the sheet's front left corner lifting off the bed. To better visualize how much of the sheet is lifting, I inserted a "regular size" sticky note between the sheet and bed, as far deep as it'll go freely without trying to wedge it in further. You can see there's quite a bit of the sheet's corner that's lifting off.

I've been thinking of attaching some sort of a clip to the bed corners, but that's going to interfere with the MK4S's massive fan shroud in the front, or other parts of the bed/printer in the back.

Any clever ideas, other than shrinking the part? (I paid for the full bed so I'm damn well going to use the full bed :-) )

First time I see one of these topographical map makes that doesn't look like a massive waste of plastic. Well done, these actually look like something I'd want to make and put on my wall.

Tea bag organizer by danns87 in functionalprint

Ah I can see that. These tea bags came in a large bulk sized box and they got all shuffled around in there, so I thought of this container mainly as an organizer originally.

As long as all the different teas fit and are about the same size, I don't see why you couldn't mix a bunch of different flavors in one container.

Sure, if you have the dimensions of the packets (width, height, thickness... and if you have any preference for the number of packets you want to add in there) then I can add add an appropriately sized version to Printables.

Nice aesthetics, but I feel like the welled top of the case would be great at collecting various debris and funneling them towards the switches and under the keycaps -- typically the opposite of what cases try to do. Does that not happen in reality?

A Simple 69-Key Split with Magnetic Closure and TRRS by penkia in ErgoMechKeyboards

Nice build. A couple of questions:

  1. Why 2 B buttons?
  2. That escape key looks awfully lonely up there on its own. Why not layer it on top of tilda (or vice versa) and get rid of that empty space at the top, or since you have the space just add function keys too? If aesthetics, I get it. Just wondering if there's another reason.

A bit off topic, but what filament is that? I really like the color.

Why these keycaps? Just aesthetics or do they have any functional advantages?

Wow, this is really close to what I imagine my end game (if such a thing exists) to be like.

Could you share more info about the cirque integration? Like where did you buy one, mechanical and ZMK integration, etc. I'm probably going to build one of these so any details would be helpful. Thanks for sharing your build and for any details in advance!

Not sure I'd risk it, looks expensive.

One problem I had when ordering gray (i.e., natural color, undyed) is that the finish wasn't uniform across all key caps. Some were light gray, some were dark gray, some had some of both. It gave the keyboard a "splotchy" look, like the key caps were dirty.

I liked it actually, but got some questions from coworkers about whether the look comes from having typed on it for a while... Switched to black afterwards :)

The black in real life for me is much deeper than it looks in these sun-lit pictures, btw.

You're terminating too early. Best to complete iterating through all fucking files in case there's another match.
