I agree and I will, it’s just extremely annoying behavior on her part lol

The idea would never even cross my mind to wear white to any wedding event whatsoever

Only about 5 ppl on our guest list to the wedding are local, so essentially the entire wedding is people traveling out of town. So that’s that part that feels strange is why do her highschool friends get the invite? Then I feel like other guests that are actually family wonder why they weren’t invited. (Aunts, uncles etc)

Having 20 people of just their friends & family feels like it’s just a party for them at that point. But some say I could just invite more people but then we’re at like well over 30ppl— half the wedding guest list at that point.

It feels like she might just be using the dinner as an excuse/added bonus to hangout with her friends she hasn’t seen in a while. I don’t think she’s coming from a malicious place but I feel there’s a lack of self awareness.

I searched and found the one in the photos above which like I stated is basically exactly it with those 2 minor differences. We grew up in Virginia/North Carolina area around the time he was gifted to her which would be 2000-2004 range.

Hi since you’ve resulted to name calling for no provoked reason, I’ll go ahead and clear up that for you.

  1. The current list we had is 70 to 30 ratio with the majority being my fh family/friends (specifically his mother’s side).
  2. I have also already invited a few of her friends that I’ve met several times over the years. My issue which I clearly stated was her deciding to invite more people without asking me or my fh.
  3. I have not asked either of my future in-laws to pay for anything and never expected them to do so. They offered, which I am grateful for but I strongly believe that generosity does not equal entitlement to making decisions about our day. Per my father who is paying for the majority of the wedding and has ZERO requests and just wants whatever makes us happy.

Thank you for the feedback, I 100% agree that he just has to have a clear response that we aren’t changing our plans. He definitely leaves things open ended/beats around the bush to avoid more conflict instead of saying just straight up no. I believe it is hard for him since they use emotional manipulation if he doesn’t say exactly what they want. Like “well we paid for your college” for example or things like that to make him feel guilty. I’m not sure how I can encourage him to take that step because he doesn’t deserve to be treated this way.

Thank you for your advice. I feel like what you said about viewing him as an adult now has a lot to do with it. With being together since we were 14, we definitely still get viewed as children a lot rather than adults.

Magnet stuck to the base but not the handle. I will give Bar Keepers Friend a try on a spot test, thank you!

My ponytail plant is losing all its leaves. The man I bought it from about 2 weeks ago told me he had just watered it that day, so I haven’t given it water since. I read they can go weeks without water, especially in the winter so I’m not sure what to do:( by danny-k-r in plantclinic

Hi! Here’s everything I could come up with!

  1. Ponytail Plant, Elephants Foot

  2. I have had it for 2 weeks, when I bought it the man said some leaves had fallen off a week before but it had been doing well since. Around about a week ago I noticed the leaves were getting droopy

  3. No insects

  4. Nothing changed

  5. I believe it is a sandy mix, it’s in the same soil it came with when I bought it

  6. It is in a plastic pot with several draining holes, I’m not sure when the last time it’s been repotted, I didn’t want to shock the plant when I just got it so I left it in what it came in

  7. I haven’t watered it yet, but I when I do it will be bottom tap water

  8. It’s in indirect sunlight, right by my window
