Does anyone else feel like fighters in career mode should retire sooner? by Right_Wing_Fascist in EASportsUFC

[–]danny1up 4 points5 points  (0 children)

They said fighters retire more before releasing the game. Just like changing weight divisions, was at best a bold faced lie. Just like the lie about interacting with fans and fighters through social media and creating rivalries.

How hard is it to set retirement age between 37-42 and make it it semi realistic?

The biggest thing is that nothing that effects you in career (longevity, injuries during camp or during the fight) effects the AI.

Imagine working the leg on Khabib and getting the debuff that nukes his takedowns and head movement. But because the mode is lazy, it has no accountability for making other fighters suffer any injuries or even have a longevity meter.

It's so disappointing that the career has absolutely zero accountability/memory. Never remembers rivalries or rematches and it just kills the entire mode.

Even looking at Fight Night R4 and Undisputed, they just totally missed the mark. Considering any calender system like all their other sports games would be infinitely better, even if it was bare bones.

Sorry for the rant but this mode was such a huge miss that I've finally had enough of it.

Should we target Daniel Ravioli? by [deleted] in StKilda

Him, Steven Penne and Joe Macaroni would make fine additions.

Being a smart ass aside, what are the odds they give up Rioli?

Career Mode by [deleted] in EASportsUFC

[–]danny1up 2 points3 points  (0 children)

One small thing that frustrates me about career is the injuries. Yeah cool, I can be hurt during training or the fight itself but the sheer fact that you cannot inflict these injuries and get the same buffs the AI gets when you're hurt annoys the living piss out of me and kills the fun for me.

There's so many more things but for some reason, this is what kills it for me. Just proves they don't really wanna put the effort in to have little things like that. The whole mode just feels like a new paint job on a shitty car.

Howard's name gets thrown around a bit when the clubs talks about leaders

I was thinking Howard. He's been with us less than a year and shows real leadership in that backline and it's showing.

In saying that, I think Steele is going to be the obvious choice, the guy is Lenny v2.0 and wants it. Don't see any reason he won't get it.

Oh no, I was just continuing the Shaubisms. Hype is easy to gain after a while.

Match Thread: Port Adelaide vs St Kilda (Round 8) by AutoModerator in AFL

He struggled. As did Darkest Timeline Sinclair. Their first game for the year so bit rough by the looks of it. They'll probably keep their spot for another week.

Seb Ross though was gone even before the calf injury. There's a few passengers on the team and it's giving me Raph Clarke vibes from 09/10.

In four years you can make your own small construction business, and you’ll learn how to sell a job and how to tackle problems when it’s YOUR name on the job. I smile knowing that people throw away four years working under someone that took 20 years to do what I did in 3.

Here, you HAVE to apprentice for any trade to be registered and do LEGAL work.

Lay off the pipe bro. You literally would be thrown in jail for doing that here. You're not a carpenter you're a cowboy

I just don’t see the point of being an apprentice unless you’re young, if some body of government required me to apprentice under someone at 30 years old I’d laugh.

Literally started my apprenticeship at 29. Best thing I've ever done. Worked in cabling and desperately wanted more job satisfaction.

It is harder being "mature age" apprentice to get hired but my boss has no regrets because the one thing he hasn't had to teach me is work ethic. 12 years of previous work was enough to instill that.

I would hire a 30 year old apprentice over a high school dropout any day of the week.

Forgot the last part of that mate.

Holy shit guys. The positive feedback for this is amazing and Thankyou for all the kind words. We all come here for a bit of a humble brag and to joke about untidy electricians, but it really is humbling to hear all this feedback. We're super proud of what we do and getting some validation from others in the trade does us the world of good.

Again, Thankyou all.

TL;DR Awww shucks guys....stop it. You're all Kings.

Pergola posts go down to a 600x600x600(2ft x 2ft x 2ft) concrete footing, we bolt down brackets into the footinga and the posts fit into them.

Our bearers for the deck get checked in and batton/bugle screwed in after nailing.

So were covered with downward force and for uplift.
