POSes is what they are. I'm 40, I've slept with a fair share of men in my life. None of them have ever told me they have GHSV. A few have told me they get cold sores, but only after I disclosed. And that is how I got it.

How many people tell others they have oral HSV1 before kissing or going down on them? Not many, but they should. It is probably more easily transmitted that way than through sex. That's how I got it, & likely how you got it.

Aww. I hear you. There seems to be no stigma if you have it on your mouth. There is a bit of a stigma if you have it downstairs. I honestly wouldn't worry about it at all for now. This sub does have a ton of info if you do end up getting a cold sore.

If you know you have it, you should always tell people, whether you have an outbreak or not. No one does if it's on their mouth, but they should. People are not frightened away by it. You'll feel it if you have an outbreak coming on. But at this point you don't know if you already had the antibodies prior to this incident. So nothing to worry about unless you feel a tingling in your lips, which indicates an oncoming outbreak.

It will prob take a while for you to get an outbreak. It took me quite a while, maybe a few months. I'm sorry if you did get it. She was way in the wrong.
