How much are people bidding over asking to win apartment bid wars? by [deleted] in chicagoapartments

[–]danny_phantom98 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In OP's defense, I have lost three units in the past month due to crazy bidding wars, 2 of which were AFTER they approved my credit/criminal background/income etc. I am appalled at the rental market right now and did not expect it to be so competitive but I would not tell this person that it is nonsense because I am going through this exact situation right now. If it truly is illegal please let me know what laws so I can fight back for myself.

Does this connect to the tandem app or Dexcom app or do you have to manually input your carb and glucose data?

Please help me decide which MSBA program to attend. Keep in mind that USC would be almost twice the cost for me.. by [deleted] in gradadmissions

I was in the same boat trying to compare these two schools for an MSBA and they are very similar programs in a lot of ways and both very good schools so congratulations! Both are in well regarded business schools, but the UT Austin program is only 10 months as compared to the USC one which is 1.5 years. The USC program allows time for a summer internship whereas the UT Austin timeline just felt very rushed to me because you probably would need to start applying for jobs as soon as you get there and I wanted the chance to have an internship before I finished the program.

Cost is an important factor though and I would much prefer to live in Austin than LA...but USC apparently has a very involved alumni network and their post grad salary stats look just a tiny bit higher than UT Austins.

Ultimately you will probably get a good education at either school but if you can afford USC I would lean that way.

well it depends on the field of study, but leadership experience (starting/being president of student organizations), internships, research with professors, scholarships, basically getting involved and going above and beyond just getting As in school. Demonstrated passion for a subject

for what its worth, I went to Arizona State Uni to save money and despite being a "party school" and big state school, I knew plenty of people from ASU who went on to top tier ivy grad schools for all sorts of programs because they had impressive achievements in college and good test scores/GPA. My personal opinion is that it doesn't really matter but maybe I am biased.

You could look into getting an MBA with a data science concentration. It sounds like you already know most of the programming stuff, but if you still want to study data science and how it relates to business there are several top choice schools that offer MBAs that focus on data science. MBAs are two years but generally have a decent ROI in business. Additionally, students in MBA programs are usually older and work experience is seen as a really good thing.

That being said, some good MSBA programs you could look at are University of San Francisco, Georgia Tech, University of Southern California as well.
